Abstract: A professional career selection is a complicated process for university student candidates and often little technical tolls are available for who aim to enter to the superior education system, since it is necessary to consider the incidence of a multiplicity of variables to obtain a "satisfactory answer" that comes near to the idea that they have preconceived. These variables build up a complex relations map that requires the formulation of an exhaustive and rigorous conceptual scheme. In this research a domain ontological model is presented as support to the student's decision making for opportunities of University studies level of the Venezuelan education system. For the declaration of the domain ontological model developed, the information provided by two organisms (OPSU & CNU) is used. Both are responsible to design the policies and strategies for the superior education in Venezuela. The ontology is designed and created using Methontology approach, since this m!
ethodology offers the possibility of improving the progressive creation or captures and knowledge articulation, its elements and relations. In order to represent the ontology Protégé 3.1.1 tool is used, based on the ontological language for the Web: OWL (Web Ontology Language) and; finally, to accede and to visualize the ontology, an application based on the Semantic Web is developed. In the field of the computation, computer science and systems, the concept of profiles or users models has many meanings and connotations, its first and greater diffusion arise with the development and use of on-line increasing systems; however, they have gain great preponderance recently, not only to refer and/or to respond to the passive user who approaches "the system", but for the possibility of taking care of a user stimulated and attracted by "the system". In that sense, the possibility of this "personalized attention" and/or recommendations from "the system" will be obviously conditione!

tomized attention" from which they must select an option between many, it is tried in the future to construct a meta-ontology that integrates the domain ontology with a user profile ontology, thus aiming towards to a Semantic Recommendation System under Multiagent approach in the future, that could be useful to support students decision making process for career selection over different study opportunities in Higher Education level in Venezuela.

Abstract: A dominant color histogram matching method for fruits classification was presented in this paper. In classification of fruits based on machine vision, image was acquired with a color CCD camera that outputted color information in three channels, red, green, and blue. Because traditional RGB color space couldn¡¯t meet subjective color sensation of human being, so color image needed to be transformed from RGB to HSV color space which represented human being's subjective color knowledge. However, the conversion result was still three-dimensional information that made determining color grades very difficult. A new color space conversion technique that could be implemented for high-speed real-time processing for color grading was introduced in this paper. The result of this technique was a simple one-dimensional array that represented different color levels .These colors were known as dominant colors of fruits. The technique reduced computation consumption greatly. Colo!
r histogram as a statistical feature had visual invariance and high robustness. The dominant color histogram matching method was used for color grading. Grade judgment result was given by calculating and comparing the similarity between the inspected sample histogram and standard template histogram for every grade, fruit sample would be assigned to the grade whose template had the biggest similarity with it. Experiment results show that dominant color histogram matching method has high accuracy in fruits¡¯ color classification.

Abstract: The purpose of this work is analysis of computational language concepts and introduction of novel pertinent ones in order to provide a new computational metamodel of interaction signatures in UML4ODP FDIS. we mainly introduce the concept of Functional computational interface which unify signal and operation interfaces notions. The unification of signal and operation interactions concepts is presented by introducing the Parameterized interaction concept. We show that parameterized interactions are of two main kinds; namely, primitives and compounds. we also introduce the notion of incoming and outgoing primitives. As an application of our modeling choices we redefine interaction, refinement and type checking rules in a concise manner, and then specify them using the useful specification functionalities of OCL 2.0, showing how novel definitions as well as their specification are easy to read, write and understand.

Abstract: The fast development of information and communication technologies (ICT) improves greatly education quality. The role of ordinary teacher changes – he/she becomes a tutor or a student's mentor. At the same time the role of a student changes – he/she overcomes the passive learning process and becomes an active explorer. E-learning is an important education component at Zagreb School of Economics and Management (ZSEM) and, in addition, it is obligatory for all our teachers and students. In this paper, the development process of course "Sociology" shall be described. During the course development 11 standards were used, that is to say, statical, dynamical and administrative ones. We shall pay special attention to dynamical standards, that is to say, to online quizzes and closed student-student and teacher-student discussions. We shall get interesting results by paying attention to student's participation in online discussions at two completely different courses, namel!
y, Sociology and Information and Communication Technologies. The obtained quality of the e-learning course and evaluations on the satisfaction of students with lectures shall be also taken into account.

Abstract: CO2 is the main source used in conventional radiocarbon dating to estimate the age of the archaeological wood. However, the production of CO2 by combustion for conventional radiocarbon dating normally produces minimal amounts of CO2,, making it difficult to proceed to subsequent processes. Thus, the objective of this paper is to introduce an integrated-combustion process on degraded wood that will maximize the production of CO2. Karas or Aqualaria Malaccensis was taken as case study. 23 response surface central composite design method was successfully employed for design of experimental (DOE) and analysis of the results. The number of experimental runs was determined using the Design-Expert 6.10.0. Karas wood was studied at different temperatures in a horizontal laboratory tubular quartz reactor. The effect of temperature, concentration of inert gas supplied during pyrolysis reaction and residence time taken during the production of CO2 from thermal and oxidative !
reactions were studied. The woods were pyrolysed in a thermogravimetry analyser (TGA) at different heating rates for the active pyrolysis occurrence. From the TGA results, it were observed that at lower temperature regime (less than 3000C) decompositon of wood, mainly H2O, CO2 and CO were evolved and at higher temperature regime, the main decomposition products were oil, H2O, hydrocarbon gases and lower concentration of CO and CO2. The results indicated that the production of CO2 increased with the continuous supply of oxygen at high temperature of pyrolysis and high flow rates of argon within a short period of residence time.

Abstract: Interpolation for sampled-values with non-uniform sampling points is required for various cases of signal processing. In such a case, sampling functions are useful to interpolate sampled-values and then to generate signals as a linear combination of the sampling basis weighted by a sequence of the sampled-values. This paper proposes sampling functions for non-uniform sampling points, each of which is composed with piecewise polynomials of degree 2. We name the sampling functions the fluency DA functions of degree 2. The fluency DA functions generate smooth and undulate signals from a sequence of sampled-values.

Abstract: The high transcendental functions that occur in the relativistic expressions of the amplitudes of the two photon atomic processes are analytically treated taking advantage of their specific parameters values. We present some identities and recurrence relationships that allow reducing the number of needed Appell functions and transform their imaginary part in terms of Gauss hypergeometric functions. If the physical model takes into account only the terms up till the fourth power in in the real part and the seventh power in the imaginary part, some transcendental functions may be reduced to elementary functions. The numerical results obtained using the presented methods were compared with other's authors results, displaying a very good agreement.

Abstract: The collocation method for solving the Hartree-Fock equations of the self-consistent field in large atomic and molecular systems is analyzed and a method for improving its performances by supplementary analytical and numerical quadrature is proposed. We used monomial and Chbyshev type trial functions and the collocation points were equidistant or Chebyshev polynomial roots. The singularities have been avoided by a function change and analytical expressions have been obtained for the most part of the integrated terms in the matrix elements, except the Hartree-Fock potential which is treated separately in a similar way. This a-priori analytical treatment ensures a greater speed and a lower condition number of the matrix necessary for the expansion's coefficient calculus, with an important effect on the overall precision and speed. Some numerical results are presented and compared with well-known types of orbitals, demonstrating the performance increasing in terms of !
precision and computing effort.

Abstract: A classification phase is crucial before the development of an image retrieval tool in the World Wide Web. To accelerate this classification and reduce the associated noise, we split first the images set in two semantic types, natural and artificial. This categorization is based on the selection of several features derived from the color and texture information that discriminates natural images from artificial ones. Usually, this features selection is performed in an empirical way and needs huge amount of experimentations. In order to avoid such experimentations and to represent efficiently the visual contents using a small number of features, we propose a new approach for evaluating their relevance. First, we select some features that could classify the images in two types: natural and artificial. Then, we elaborate a technique, based on the maximum entropy principle, to measure the relevance for each one of them. Hence we select the most relevant, and consequent!
ly improve the classification results.

Abstract: The system for mass data collection with cumulative acknowledge is described in this paper. A server message for cumulative acknowledgement is specified. The system is development for single source multicast networks. These networks are characterized by the ability to communicate with concrete network nodes. The groups of nodes are possible to create in these networks. It makes these networks more efficient than the any source multicast networks. The purpose of the first part is to design and describe the system. In the next part are the possible process mechanism discussed. We also introduce an initialization, synchronization and the message transfers. In last part, we discuss a future work.

Abstract: In the estimation of the circuit breakers technical state, it is very important to knows its contacts electroerosion. The electroerosion depends on the following main parameters: switching number realised, currents values that have been switched, existence time of electric arc at each switching. Electroerosion estimation of the contacts realised in operation leads to an overestimation inducing a supplementary maintenance. Thus it is necessary an evaluation of short-circuit currents in the mounting place of circuit breakers from electrical installations and a reconsideration of switching number at short-circuit of its. In this paper is shown an experimental model of an embedded intelligent system for the technical state evaluation of the switchgears contacts, from electroerosion point of view. This approach has the advantage that the architecture can be used, also, for the monitoring of the some cinematic parameters for the operating mechanism, like as: closing/open!

Abstract: The Persian Gulf is a water basin which connects Iran to surface waters and the oceans. This basin is important with regards to biological, fisheries, shipping and chemical. Tides, winds, evaporation and precipitation considerably happen there. According to past researchs, baroclinicity and stratification are two properties in the Persian Gulf happening and varying seasonally. In fact, thermocline development and its variation in space and time represent turbulence formation so internal waves propagation through water environment. Turbulence and internal waves due to baroclinicity, tidal and wind stresses propagate along baroclinic pressure gradient and in vertical direction through water column. In this paper, we get vertical component of internal waves velocity to solve for the first four modes. These modes are predominant presenting turbulent behavior of baroclinicity in the Persian Gulf. As a result of depth variations of thermocline in the Gulf, baroclinic pr!
essure so internal waves due to turbulence would happen. Development of seasonal thermocline due to forcing in the case zone and its trend would be the main result of the research.

Abstract: A popular form for a voltage-follower (VF) with global feedback is a voltage operational amplifier (Op-Amp) with 100% negative feedback. Nevertheless, with currently available Op-Amps it is unable to meet high frequency specifications. This paper presents a high frequency voltage-follower based on an overall feedback technique. Despite the global feedback loop, the design presented small-signal bandwidth higher than 3GHz and gain flatness to within 0.1dB up to 170MHz. Due to this feedback loop, the circuits exhibits very high input and very low output impedance. In addition, the output voltage swing achieved is some ±3V, with an input offset current of around 130nA and an offset voltage in the range of 200uV. The proposed circuit is very stable, due to the stability technique used, maintaining low distortion. The total harmonic distortion (THD) of the circuit is better than -65dB and the intermodulation distortion (IMD) is some -70dB, for capacitive loads up to!
10pF. The analysis of the novel circuit has been carried out for operating temperatures from -20oC to +100oC, using Analog Devices' extra fast complementary transistors. The power dissipation is some 52mW on a ±5V power supply, although it can be reduced to ±3.3V, without affecting significantly the performance, depending on the application.

Abstract: Abstract: - This paper presents the analysis, design and simulation of an Ohmic RF MEMS switch specified for reconfigurable microstrip array antennas. The proposed switch is indented to be built on PCB via a monolithic technology together with the antenna patches. The proposed switch will be used to allow antenna beamforming in the operating frequency range between 2GHz and 4GHz. This application requires a great number of these switches to be integrated with an array of microstrip patch elements. The proposed switch fulfills the switching characteristics as concerns the five requirements (loss, linearity, voltage/power handling, small size/power consumption, temperature), following a relatively simple design, which ensures reliability, robustness and high fabrication yield.

Abstract: The resource constrained project scheduling problem (RCPSP) is a difficult problem in combinatorial optimization for which extensive investigation has been devoted to the development of efficient algorithms. During the last couple of years many heuristic procedures have been developed for this problem, but still these procedures often fail in finding near-optimal solutions. This paper proposes a genetic algorithm for the resource constrained project scheduling problem. The chromosome representation of the problem is based on random keys. The schedule is constructed using a heuristic priority rule in which the priorities and delay times of the activities are defined by the genetic algorithm. The approach was tested on a set of standard problems taken from the literature and compared with other approaches. The computational results validate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Abstract: User authentication is an important part of computer network cryptography. It becomes more and more essential for security with the latest progress in the field of computer science. We analyze latest trends in the article. Our goal is to answer the question whether these trends reflect current state in computer networks. We are focused on security and from this point of view we find the progress unsatisfactory. The reason is that most of current work is focused on operational parameters more than on security. That's why we give an example of less known authentication methods which can solve the most important issues of current protocols – security and protocol flexibility. The main advantage of one of these methods is its mathematical model which can prove security. As the flexibility of the method is also vital for modern multi domain networks we provide a modification of this method to improve the process of authentication and authorization.

Abstract: This paper proposes a novel adaptive genetic algorithm (AGA) for the multi-objective optimization design of a fractional PID controller and applies it to the control of an active magnetic bearing (AMB) system. Different from PID controllers with three constants, the fractional PID controller¡¦s parameters are composed of proportional constant, integral constant, derivative constant, derivative order and integral order. The fractional PID controller is more flexible and gives the possibility of adjusting more carefully the closed-loop system characteristics. However, its design becomes more complex than that of conventional integer order PID controller. An adaptive genetic algorithm is proposed to design the fractional PID controller. The five parameters of the fractional PID controller are selected as parameters to be determined. The dynamic model of an AMB system for axial motion is also presented. The simulation results of this AMB system show that a fractional P!
ID controller designed via the proposed AGA has good performance.

Abstract: Whether the design of knowledge base or the modeling of complex systems, when systems are characterized as complex systems with high dimension and a variety of variables and factors, to reduce complexity are necessary. Fuzzy cognitive maps (FCM) are a soft computing method for simulation and analysis of complex system, which combines the fuzzy logic with theories of neural networks. It is flexible in system design, model and control, the comprehensive operation and the abstractive representation of behavior for complex systems. When the complexity of the system, the application and maintenance of FCM become more difficult, in particular, the inference is difficult to achieve and not even gets the results. Therefore we present to partition the complex fuzzy cognitive map into smaller chunks based on genetic algorithm in this paper. We construct partitioning rules and criticize rules. Finally, an illustrative example is provided, and its results suggest that the me!

Abstract: Fuzzy cognitive map is a powerful modeling tool. It has several desirable properties on control. In this paper, we utilize the feature and the inference mechanism of fuzzy cognitive map, and present a control method, which study combines control theory with fuzzy cognitive map theory. The causal relationship of variables is constructed by online learning or offline learning, the values of control variables are given by the inference of FCM model, and the control variables are used to adjust the value of controlled variables in actual process and carries out the control of multi-input and multi-out.

Abstract: The paper deals with some important aspects of continuous systems modelling approaches. Namely the traditional approach is based on block oriented schemes in which causal relations play an important role. However this causality is artificially generated in order to fulfil appropriate conditions for simulation on conventional sequential computers. Fortunately new concepts which are based on object oriented approaches, physically oriented connections and algebraic manipulations enable the so called acausal modelling. Both approaches are used in the modelling of thermal flows in intelligent building. Advantages and disadvantages of two concepts and environments are discussed. As validation is always the most important phase of each modelling project a small physical "chamber" was built. The second part of the paper demonstrates the efficiency of the developed simulation model. With the simulation we studied how to compensate or efficiently use variable outdoor conditi!
ons, e.g. solar radiation and outdoor temperature in order to assure the appropriate indoor conditions. This was not performed with conventional approaches, e.g. with heating, cooling, ventilating, humidifying, etc. but with on line dynamical adaptations in the building envelope. Variable wall insulation, movable window insulation, movable shading system and rotating object were proposed and studied.

Number of paper pages: 10
Abstract: Associated with expanding using ICT across the global, there is more and more concern about privacy and security issues. Today, people find that their personal information is hard to protect. Results from a literature review, from a survey and from a case study all indicate a clear solution: the key is people. It is people who develop ICT, and people who decide the different ways that ICT is used. Therefore education about international law and ethics, and education to develop an understanding of cultural differences will provide a positive attitude to promote the improvement of the privacy and security situation in the information age. Finally, there is a discussion about how to establish a viable security culture environment.

Abstract: A streamline diffusion finite element method (SDFEM) is applied to a singularly perturbed convection-diffusion two-point boundary value problem in conservative form. The stability and accuracy of the SDFEM on arbitrary grids are studied. We derive the pointwise error estimates and the approximation of derivatives. These bounds are then made explicit for the particular cases of Shishkin-type meshes. Numerical experiments support our theoretical results.

Abstract: The article primary deals with IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL), as a process based method. Providing IT services with better, guaranteed quality has been the aim of many diverse efforts, undertaken under the common denominator ITSM. To develop an architecture for information technology service management and design integrated solutions, it is necessary to establish a common framework for delivering IT services. The model is a framework for organizing the assets that constitute an ITSM design. Using this framework, an organization can document the available set of IT services offered and understand how they are composed from finer-grained services delivered by internal or external providers. This processing model can be used by management software vendors to describe the capabilities of their ITSM offerings and to align those with the needs of different customers. Abstract: This paper proposes a new blind watermarking scheme based on discrete wavelet transform(DWT) domain. The method uses the HVS model, and radial basis function neural networks(RBF). RBF will be implemented while embedding and extracting watermark. The human visual system (HVS) model is used to determine the watermark insertion strength. The neural networks almost exactly recover the watermarking signals from the watermarked images after training and learning. The experimental results show that the watermark proposed in this paper is invisible ( the PSNR is higher than 41) and is robust in the case of against some normal at tacks such as JPEG compression , additive noise and filtering , etc.

Title of the Paper: New Method of Image Retrieval Using Fractal Code on the Compression Domain
Authors as they appear in the Paper:

Number of paper pages: 10
Abstract: Image retrieval and indexing techniques are important for efficient management of visual database. Many techniques are generally developed based on the associated compression domain. In the fractal domain, a fractal code is a contractive affine mapping that represents a similarity relation between the range block and the domain block in an image. A new algorithm of IFS fractal code for image retrieval on the compression domain is presented in this paper. First, the inquired image and each image in the database are encoded by Jacquin fractal coding. Second, the image fractal feature vector and the distance of fractal code between two images are defined, and the distance between the inquired image and current image in the database are computed one by one. Finally, the preceding n frame images which are the smallest distance sum of fractal code are taken as the retrieval result. Experimental results show that compared with the direct image pixels similar matching strat!
egy, our scheme shortens the retrieval time of compression domain greatly and guarantees the retrieval accuracy. Our proposed method is effective and feasible.

Title of the Paper: A survey of biologically inspired image processing for objects recognition

Abstract: The human vision system is a very sophisticated image processing and objects recognition mechanism. However, it is a challenge to simulate the human or animal vision system to automate visual function in machines, because it is difficult to account for the view-invariant perception of universals such as environmental objects or processes and the explicit perception of featural parts and wholes in visual scenes. In this paper, we present an introduction to the general issue of biologically inspired modeling and review the specific applications of image processing and objects recognition. On one hand, general and key vision function from neuroscience are reviewed, on the other hand we give an important summarization of biologically inspired image pre-processing, image perception, objects recognition.

Number of paper pages: 10
Abstract: Northeast China's black soil is mainly distributed in the Songliao Basin¡¯s upper reaches of Heilongjiang Province and Jilin Province. The black soil area in Jilin Province is about approximately 45,200 km2, which accounts for 24.7 percent of the total area. As the result of human interference with black soil in excess, black soil resources in Jilin have depredated noticeably. Serious erosion of black soil, reduction of soil nutrients , the deterioration of physical and chemical properties, and the escalation of soil pollution, have posed a serious threat on the national food production, the security of ecology and environment and socio-economic sustainable development in the future. This paper mainly puts the natural and human factors resulting in the degradation of the black soil into discussion. The natural factors refer to global climate change, the terrain characteristics as well as vegetation cover and so on. The human factors mainly focus on the rapid growth!
of population, unreasonable way of farming, soil pollution caused by industrial and agricultural production, and urbanization leading to the transfer of soil¡¯s practical function, etc. Through studying the mechanism and the essence of soil degradation, prevention and treatment of black soil degradation should begin with the basic characteristics and the process of the occurrence. .At the same time soil resources and the environment, should be unified, and different types of degradation should be distinguished.. According to the basic principles of ecology and from the perspective of ecological balance the measures of biology, engineer, as well as agriculture should be combined together in order to unify the development and protection.

Abstract: A lot of methods have been used in the past for the prediction of failure business like Discriminant analysis, Logit analysis, Quadratic Function etc. Although some of these methods lead to models with a satisfactory ability to discriminate between healthy and bankrupt, they endure some limitations, often due to the unrealistic assumption of statistical hypotheses. This is why we have undertaken a hybrid advisable system aiming at weakening these limitations. A hybrid model that predicts the failure firms based on the past financial performance data, combining grey prediction and rough set approach is possible to predict using few data and quickly calculate. The results are very encouraging, compared with original rough set, and prove the usefulness and highlight the effectiveness of the proposed method for firm failure prediction.

Number of paper pages: 10
Abstract: Optimal problem is often met in engineering practice. The method to solve complex optimal problem is always studied by people. Springs are important mechanical members which are often used in machines to exert force, to provide flexibility, and to store or absorb energy. Helical spring is the most popular type of springs. The method of helical spring optimization is a typical one which can be used to solving other mechanical optimal design problem. Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm is a good method in solving optimal problem. MATLAB is a high-performance language for technical computing and is an easy tool for us to simulate the optimization. In this paper, we mainly introduce the optimization of helical spring based on particle swarm algorithms and simulation in MATLAB. Directed by the theory of Particle Swarm Optimization algorithm, with the minimum weight of helical spring as objective function, with d, D2 and n as design variables, with shear stress, maximu!
m axial deflection, critical frequency, bucking, fatigue strength, coils not touch, space and dimension as constraint conditions, the complex helical spring optimal design mathematics model with three design variables and fourteen inequality constraints conditions is established. When the model is simulated in MATLAB the minimal optimal value of variables and the minimal weight of helical spring can be obtained. Simulating Result shows that Particle Swarm Optimization is practical in solving complicated optimal design problems and effectively on avoiding constraint of solution. The fundamental idea, the method of establishing mathematic model, the simulation process in MATLAB of helical spring can be used for reference to other similar mechanical optimal design.
