Abstract: Business plan is important tool for managing any business. This is due to the fact that it form up a basis for the business as well as discusses how important challenges should be solved. To be successful it needs to take into account several different business factors and finally all these factors need to be presented in written format and in synchrony. Rather often also third parties like financing institutions are interested in of the business plans as they form a solid basis for making funding decisions. This paper discusses about the business as concept and outlines the importance of a business plan for an entrepreneur. After motivating entrepreneurs for making a business plan, this paper discusses about the content of it and links it into the daily management of a company. Especial emphasis in the discussion is in giving writing instructions for entrepreneurs having an interest for writing a business plan. As all business plans need to be usable in practi!
ce, this paper discusses also about the characteristics of bio-energy business where the proposed plan is tested in practice. Industrial experiences from the bio-energy seminar show that proposed business plan is seen usable in bio-energy companies. They also show that designed writing instructions given step by step are helping in the writing work. As a whole proposed business plan serves bio-energy entrepreneurs and financing institutions as an action plan, road map and sales tool and also informs customers about the bio-energy company's ways of working. The theoretical discussion in this paper has been written using a constructive research method. Therefore the theoretical part of this paper constructs a new reality by using results which in part have been presented before and have proven to be usable. The industrial experience part of this paper is a case study. The case study method has been seen usable as it gives rich qualitative understanding to the phenomena ex!

Abstract: We present total variation anisotropic edge detection. We derive the total variation functional from measure theory, distribution theory and vector gradient method. The Euler-Lagrange equation of the total variation functional gives a steady state equation. The steady state equation acts as an anisotropic filter on an image. The total variation filtered images are compared to Laplacian filtered images. A subsequent application of the zero crossing algorithm works quite well for the traditional Marr-Hildreth method but gives poorer results for the total variation filtered images. It was found that thresholding methods work better and saves computational time. Also, our results show that total variation edge detection overcomes some drawbacks associated with the Marr-Hildreth method.

Abstract: Cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) high voltage cables have been widely used in power transmission and distribution systems. Ageing deterioration of XLPE insulating material can not be avoidable due to its made of polymeric material. This paper mentions to the experimental results on artificial ageing test of 22 kV XLPE cable for distribution system application in Thailand. XLPE insulating material of 22 kV cable was sliced to 60-70 µm in thick and subjected to ac high voltage stress at 23◦C, 60◦C, 75◦C and 90◦C. The specimens were tested under different electrical stress levels varying from 50kV/mm to 130kV/mm. Testing voltage was constantly applied to the specimen until breakdown. Five specimens were tested at each temperature level and each voltage stress level. Breakdown voltage and average time to breakdown were used to evaluate life time of insulating material. Furthermore, the physical model by J. P. Crine for predicts life time of XL!
PE insulating material was adopted as life time model and was determined in order to compare the experimental results. Acceptable life time results were obtained from Crine's model comparing with the experimental result. In addition, Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) for chemical analysis and scanning electron microscope (SEM) for physical analysis were conducted on tested specimens.

To understand the status and trends, indicators were identified and an inventory of the natural resources carried out. Agro-ecological zone (AEZ) approach has been adopted in selecting the village, taking into consideration the key features of the selected AEZ and the representative ness of the village. This facilitates understanding of the strata of the sub-AEZ in which the village is located. This report serves as a model and has been generated adopting the indicators and methods developed by the Indian Institute of Science for monitoring natural resources. Abstract: This paper proposes a secure authentication mechanism by integrating the public key with the hash-chaining technique. The propose protocol satisfies the security requirements of third generation (3G) mobile networks. Also provide the protection of the international mobile subscriber identity (IMSI) to ensure subscriber un-traceability, key refreshment periodically, strong key management and a new non-repudiation service in a simple and elegant way. The proposed protocol is more secure protocol than the other available authentication protocols. To avoid the complicated synchronization as in universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) the proposed protocol does not use sequence number (SEQ), the management of a hash chain is simple and elegant compared to that of SEQ. This proposed protocol is secure against network attacks, such as replay attacks, guessing attacks, and other attacks.

Abstract: This study integrates the Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Theory of Perceived Value to discuss the effects of brand valuation, subjective norm, and promotion on perceived value. It also employs linear multivariate analysis integrated with fuzzy neural network techniques to validate the hypotheses. The population of this study is the consumers who have purchased luxury goods in three major metropolitan areas in Taiwan (Taipei, Taichung and Kaohsiung). Questionnaires are distributed in department stores and boutique stores in those metropolitan areas by convenience sampling. This study also explores the purchase of high-involvement products, including the luxury goods. The empirical results are as follows: brand valuation has a significant positive effect on perceived value; promotional method has a significant positive effect on purchasing behavior; high price promotion causes brand valuation to have negative effects on perceived value; the brand valuation and !
perceived value relationship is affected by non-price promotion; perceived value has a significant positive effect on purchasing behavior. Management implications and suggestions for the future study are also proposed.

Abstract: Computer Aided Engineering (CAE) techniques provide effective solutions for automating the whole product development chain process. Designers, engineers, manufacturing professionals and researchers can now leverage solid modeling data and multi-physics analysis in ways that were inconceivable just few years ago. On one hand, research aims to improve capabilities of existing CAD methods and tools; on the other hand novel approaches are extensively investigated with the ambition of carrying out innovative CAD techniques capable of lighting sparking design innovation a!

This is particularly true for mechanical design: fast and robust 3D retrieval from 2D drawings that was considered future trend few years ago, is now a key target for commercial software houses like Dassault Systems® and Autodesk® as well as a vigorous focus from an academic outlook. Unfortunately, even if a number of works have been carried out during the last decades, these are mainly described by a conceptual point of view. To derive an orderly procedure covering the necessary steps for retrieving 3D models from mechanical drawings could provide a dramatic boost to researchers and practitioners that introduce this issue on their research. Therefore, the main aim of the present work is to carry out a systematic clear and concise step-by-step procedure for 3D retrieval starting from wireframe models. Since the intent is to afford an as clear as possible, guided, procedure for 3D reconstruction, mathematical description is limited to the simplest case of poly!

In order to solve this problem, IEEE proposed a new standard named Media Independent Handover or IEEE 802.21. In this paper we will use this standard to improve handover performance of SCTP transport layer protocol with Dynamic Address Reconfiguration Extension. For this purpose, SCTP protocol will use event service of MIH protocol to detecting appropriate time for handover and also will apply command service of this protocol to decision making algorithm for selecting best alternative interface. Abstract: Maintenance is a factor of competitivity since it affects the production, quality and cost. It is essential for increasing the company development and its assets. The approach presented in this paper is a contribution to a research related to the scheduling of maintenance tasks, allocating resources and optimizing maintenance costs. This work proposes an algorithm based on: the tasks maintenance scheduling, assigning tasks to appropriate resources under the constraints of the durations of tasks and skills, while minimizing downtime in the maintenance service. The maintenance optimization criterion is evaluated by the sum of advances / delays of preventive interventions and of minimizing the costs lost by inserting other tasks such as dynamic or delays in elementary windows.

In this paper a kind of nano-composite coating is used to prevent atmospheric corrosion and under insulation corrosion. This coating that consist of 30 percent of acrylic resin water based and 70 percent of nano-composite as well as the nanometer tunnel (the thickness of tunnels is only a few nano meters) covers the surface completely, so that there is not any microscopic space for air penetration (percolation). In addition to the hydrophobic properties will remove the moisture from the insulation surface. Thus this nano-coating insulation prevents from reaching moisture oil and gas transfer pipeline, also this type of insulation is semi-transparent. In the other hands, its space beneath is visible each time. In order to te!
st this nano-coating, GM9540P test this has been approved as environmental corrosion test was used. After the first stage of test, the surface without coverage was corroded entirely, but the coated part was tested successfully without any effect of corrosion after 24 stages. Although there are numerous ways and materials to create resistance against corrosion, but insulation and anti corrosion properties aren't considered synchronous; the coverage used in this test includes both properties.

Abstract: Circuits with switched capacitors are described by a capacitance matrix and seeking voltage transfers then means calculating the ratio of algebraic supplements of this matrix. As there are also graph methods of circuit analysis in addition to algebraic methods, it is clearly possible in theory to carry out an analysis of the whole switched circuit in two-phase switching exclusively by the graph method as well. For this purpose it is possible to plot a Mason graph of a circuit, use transformation graphs to reduce Mason graphs for all the four phases of switching, and then plot a summary graph from the transformed graphs obtained this way. First we draw nodes and possible branches, obtained by transformation graphs for transfers of EE (even-even) and OO (odd-odd) phases. In the next step, branches obtained by transformation graphs for EO and OE phase are drawn between these nodes, while their resulting transfer is multiplied by z exp 1/2 or z exp -1/2. This summary g!
raph can then be interpreted by the Mason's relation to provide transparent voltage transfers. Therefore it is not necessary to compose a sum capacitance matrix and to express this consequently in numbers, and so it is possible to reach the final result in a graphical.

Abstract: Details of parallel-sparse Domain Decomposition (DD) with multi-point constraints (MPC) formulation are explained. Major computational components of the DD formulation are identified. Critical roles of parallel (direct) sparse and iterative solvers with MPC are discussed within the framework of DD formulation. Both symmetrical and unsymmetrical system of simultaneous linear equations (SLE) can be handled by the developed DD formulation. For symmetrical SLE, option for imposing MPC equations is also provided. Large-scale (up to 25 million unknowns involving complex numbers) structural and acoustic Finite Element (FE) analysis are used to evaluate the parallel computational performance of the proposed DD implementation using different parallel computer platforms. Numerical examples show that the authors' MPI/FORTRAN code is significantly faster than the commercial parallel sparse solver. Furthermore, the developed software can also conveniently and efficiently solve!
large SLE with MPCs, a feature not available in almost all commercial parallel sparse solvers.

Abstract: The aim of this study was to map the social capital profile and examine the association between social capital and three dimensions of self-reported health in Taiwan. Data were taken from a nationwide survey conducted in 2010. The results confirmed that (1) there was no difference for social capital between males and females; (2) individual-level social capital was the consistent and significant predictor of physical, psychological and social health, while females¡¦ physical health was not as good as males¡¦. Abstract: TRIZ is the Russian acronymic synonym of (Theory of Inventive Problem Solving). It is a systematic method for providing valid suggestions to meet the requirements of inventive steps. Su-Field analytic method, deduced from TRIZ method, is one of the inventive problem solving tools that can be used to analyze and improve the efficacy of the technological system. By possessing a symbolic system and transformation rules, the Su-Field analysis model can assist designers to diagnose and solve most design problems. This study proposes an innovative design and problem-solving process, based on Su-Field modeling method integrated with extension of matter-element. This research tries to integrating ¡§extension of matter-element¡§ with the Su-Field modeling procedure to improve the efficiency and extent of concept evolutions. We make use of extensibility of matter-element to exchange the descriptions of design problems and solutions into creative fields. The concrete result !
includes, evaluate the differences and benefits between Su-Field modeling procedure and matter-element modeling procedure. Assess possibility and advantage to combine construction of symbolic system in Su-Field model and the transformation and extension of matter-elements. Introducing concept extension of matter-element into symbolic developments to derive out more creative solutions. An innovative design case, staple free stapler, successfully demonstrates that the proposed design process is feasible and efficient.

Abstract: This paper proposes two mechanisms for improving the IEEE 802.11 DCF protocol performance and for enhancing QoS in IEEE 802.11 wireless LANs. These are Ratio based and Collision Rate Variation (CRV) schemes. The Ratio based scheme uses the collision rate value of the current and the past history of the network conditions to adaptively adjust the Contention Window (CW) size for each individual station. The CRV scheme also employs the collision rate and collision rate variation values to adjust the CW value locally for each individual station based on the current and previous network conditions. The aim of developing these approaches is to reduce the probability of collisions among the contending stations in a heavily loaded network in an attempt to improve QoS in IEEE 802.11 DCF protocol. The proposed schemes are evaluated and compared with the conventional IEEE 802.11 DCF and the Exponential Increase Exponential Decrease (EIED) schemes. The evaluation is carried ou!
t for different scenarios (i.e. different traffic load and different network size) using the ns-2 simulator. The metrics used in the evaluation are delay, jitter, throughput, packet loss, protocol efficiency, and collision rate. The results indicate that the best performance is achieved by using the proposed scheme with superiority for the CRV scheme in most cases. EIED scheme is also able to provide better performance than the IEEE 802.11 DCF scheme. The simulation results from several scenarios confirmed that the proposed approach showed better performance than the legacy IEEE 802.11 DCF and EIED schemes in all scenarios. The Ratio based and CRV schemes maintained better performance than the IEEE 802.11 DCF and EIED schemes.

Abstract: A novel max-heap overlay tree is constructed as a multicasting scheme, based on bandwidth-latency-products' Node Gain Scores (NGSs) of individual nodes. These NGSs, used as a basis for shaping the overlay tree, are determined by respective bandwidth-latency-products (BLPs). Each node's NGS is a synergy of the discrepancy ratio of the bandwidth requested, Br, with respect to the estimated available bandwidth (BDR), and the latency discrepancy ratio between the nodes and the source node, Ba (LDR). It is proposed that each node to be positioned according to NGSs which is a function of four parameters – available bandwidth, Ba; requested bandwidth, Br; proposed node latency to its prospective parent, Lp; and suggested best latency as advised by the source node, Lb. BDR and LDR with the weights of  and =(C-), respectively, are realized. Arbitrarily chosen, 0 ≤ a ≤ C and  = C - a ensure that the NGSs, used as node IDs, maintain!
uniqueness and balance between BDR and LDR. The constant C is, hence, chosen depending on unique Node_IDs desired. A max-heap-form tree is constructed with an assumption that all the nodes possess NGSs less than the source node. Load balance is introduced by making sure that children of each level's siblings are evenly distributed. The records of the pair-wise available bandwidths as measured by a pathChirp scheme are maintained. Evaluation as compared to other schemes - BASE, TBCP, and HMTP - has been done. With moderate sized overlay groups, the NGS scheme performs better in terms of packet delivery ratio; maximum link stress; control overhead; and end-to-end delays.

Abstract: Abstract: Present study is designed to evaluate the effect of chrysin isolated from Oroxylum indicum against on cisplatin-induced nephrotoxicity. chrysin was isolated from dried roots of Oroxylum indicum. Nephroprotector activity was evaluated in male Albino rats. Nephrotoxicity induced by intraperitoneal administration (6 mg/kg,i.p., single dose) of cisplatin. Chrysin was administered by gastric intubation at two dose levels. Animals were divided into 5 groups. Group I animals received vehicle (1% CMC). Group II animals received cisplatin on day 1. Group III received 40mg/kg Bd.Wt chrysin for ten days, Group IV and V received 20 mg/kg and 40mg/kg Bd.Wt. chrysin respectively from day 1 to day 10 and On day 5 these groups received cisplatin injection. On day 9, urine was collected and estimated urinary functional parameters. Blood was collected on day 10 and estimated Blood urine nitrogen (BUN), Serum creatinine (SC). Malondialdehyde levels were also estimated in !
kidney tissue. Histological studies were also conducted. Cisplatin caused acute renal damage characterized by elevation of Blood Urine Nitrogen, Serum creatinine, Malondialdehyde level, marked drop in creatinine clearance Animals which received chrysin reversed all the effects induced by cisplatin in dose dependent manner. Histological studies also substantiated above results. Present study reveals that chrysin attenuated the nephrotoxicity of cisplatin in rats.

Abstract: Multi-Input Multi-Output (MIMO) radar is a new radar technology in recent years, which partially or completely uses spatial diversity gain of the signal to replace coherent gain in traditional phased-array radar. Using the ideal point source model, we make a detailed analysis of the contributions to radar detection system made by these two kinds of gain. These contributions are divided into two kinds: the contribution to system robustness and the contribution to improving the signal-to-noise ratio. Based on this, it is proposed that the space diversity gain of MIMO radar can make more contribution to the system. The rationality of this proposal is further proved by the modification of the statistical MIMO model. And the theory above is verified by simulation. In addition, this paper illustrates how to analyze other MIMO radar systems from the viewpoints of these two kinds of contributions.

Abstract: Since July 2009 it is compulsory for a new or major renovation building project to meet the requirements set by Estonian Government regulation nr. 258 „The Minimum Requirements for Energy Efficiency". Conformity of the building to the minimum requirements for energy performance shall be inspected by way of an energy calculation upon standard use of a building, utilising primary data provided for in this Regulation regarding outdoor and indoor climate, periods of use and operation of the building, free heat, and air-tightness of the building. Unfortunatelly the regulation does not state in how many different calculation zones exactly should the dynamic simulation calculation be accomplished. This article reports on analysis of evaluation carried out in Tallinn University of Technology how the implementation of the regulation has taken effect as well shows how the lackage of information regarding the calculation zones may influence the calculation results. As the res!
ults show there are severe problems with application of this regulation, concerning the regulation itself, as well as the shortage of information and knowledge to use complicated dynamic simulation softwares.

Abstract: Original Karaboga's artificial bee colony (ABC) algorithm was applicable to unconstrained problems only and modifications for constrained problems were introduced later. In this article we propose an improved artificial bee colony algorithm for constrained problems. Since the ABC algorithm for constrained problems does not consider the initial population to be feasible we introduced a modification, besides penalty function and Deb's rule, in a form of "smart bee" (SB) which uses its historical memories for the location and quality of food sources. This modified SB-ABC algorithm was tested on standard benchmark functions for constrained optimization problems and proved to be better.

Abstract: Artificial bee colony (ABC) metaheuristic algorithm introduced by Karaboga was successfully used on many continuous optimization problems. There is also a corresponding program written in C. This article describes an object-oriented software system for improved artificial bee colony algorithm written in C# with corresponding flexible graphical user interface (GUI). Since this implementation is object-oriented it is easier for maintenance and it uses threads which significantly increases execution speed on multicore processors. The application was successfully tested on standard benchmark problems.

Abstract: A robust asynchronous full adder design corresponding to early output logic, synthesized using the elements of a standard cell library is presented in this paper. As the name suggests, the adder ensures gate orphan freedom and neatly fits into the self-timed system architecture. In comparison with many of the indicating full adder designs, which can be embedded in the self-timed system, it is found that the proposed full adder enables reduction in latency by 20.7%, occupies lesser area by 15.4% and features minimized average power dissipation by 8.6% against the best design metrics of its counterparts. These design estimates correspond to simulation results of the 32-bit carry-ripple adder circuit; derived by targeting a high-speed 130nm bulk CMOS process technology. Also, the proposed full adder facilitates a faster reset and the return-to-zero for the fundamental carry-propagate topology is achieved with only two full adder delays.

Abstract: Disordering processes of binary alloy were investigated at various vacancy concentrations by using Monte Carlo Simulations. We studied initially phase-segregated binary alloy illustrated by Ising-like model with a brick wall boundary condition. The kinetic disordering is caused by highly mobile vacancies (exchanging of the alloy atoms with nearby empty sites) arising when suddenly increased in the temperature. We measured the time evolution of time-dependent disorder parameter A(L,V,T;t) (number of broken bond) at very high temperature varying concentrations of vacancies. It was found that the vacancy concentrations were found to be the main factor of the vacancy-mediated disordering dynamic, i.e., we could characterize and predict the dynamic behavior via characteristic exponents, especially, in the time evolution of interface destruction and bulk disordering processes in binary systems.

Abstract: Gas turbine is an important functional part of many applications. Cooling of blades has been a major concern since they are in a high temperature environment. Various techniques have been proposed for the cooling of blades and one such technique is to have axial holes along the blade span. Finite element analysis is used to analyze thermal and structural performance due to the loading condition, with material properties of Titanium- Aluminum Alloy. Six different models with different number of holes (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12) where analyzed in this paper to find out the optimum number of holes for good performance. In Finite element analysis, first thermal analysis followed by structural analysis is carried out. Graphs plotted for temperature distribution for existing design (12 holes) and for 8 holes against time. 2D and 3D model of the blade with cooling passages are shown. Using ANSYS, bending stress, deflection, temperature distribution for number of holes are anal!
yzed. Results have been discussed and we found that when the numbers of holes are increased in the blade, the temperature distribution falls down. For the blade configuration with 8 holes, the temperature near to the required value i.e., 800oC is obtained. Thus a turbine blade with 8 holes configuration is found to be the optimum solution.

Abstract: Over the past 10 years there have been rapid advances in wireless technologies and an importance of a radio frequency (RF) communication system is expanding day by day due to its advantages. In the meantime, a huge number of researchers are investigating from the various aspects of such field. Electromagnetic wave propagation in an indoor environment and, penetration trough environment medium is still under consideration. In this paper, we reveal a measured result from the different indoor environments for a various transmitted power levels and frequencies. The experience can be used to application of a wireless communication system between sensors and embedded system.

Abstract: Today there are 24.6 million of the people with special needs in Brazil, with 23% having some type of hearing loss and 2.9% of these deaf. The Accessibility Brazilian Law establishes that the accessibility of services for the deaf shall be provided by interpreters or people trained in Brazilian Sign Language (LIBRAS). Brazilian Laws provides that the teaching of LIBRAS must be part of the curriculum of all courses in Special Education, Speech Therapy and Magisterium at high school and college courses. Furthermore, all school systems in Brazil must provide a bilingual education (LIBRAS and Portuguese) as a right to deaf students. According to the National Federation on Education and Integration of the Deaf there is great need for qualified educators, geographically available in appropriate locations. The TV is an important means of distributing educational content since the 1950s and it is available in 98% of Brazilian homes. By 2016 the Open Digital TV (ODTV) in Br!
azil must cover the entire national territory. In this context, this paper presents the system SynchrLIBRAS, which facilitates the generation of educational content to assist the learning of LIBRAS. This system takes as input a video with audio and allows inserting subtitles and a LIBRAS window in a synchronized way. The window LIBRA is recorded by an LIBRAS interpreter in front of a webcam, with automatic synchronization among caption, audio and image. The resulting content is processed by a system called HiddenLIBRAS that uses the middleware Ginga-NCL – standard for Brazilian ODTV and IPTV. It allows the caption and the LIBRAS window are optional for viewing in both environments. The focus of this paper is to present the architecture and implementation of the SynchrLIBRAS, with emphasis on the synchronization process and the practical way of generating content with LIBRAS windows.

Abstract: Green products can reduce the environmental burden during design and disposal. The most approved technique to evaluate the environmental profile of a green product is the life cycle assessment. Data mining has also been successfully applied in many fields. However, little research has been done in the quality function deployment of mining the dynamic trends of customer requirements and engineering characteristics, using data mining and grey theory. This study proposed an approach to use data mining and grey theory in quality unction deployment for mining dynamic trends of the computer life cycle-oriented green supply. An Empirical example is provided to demonstrate the applicability of the proposed approach. Certain advantages may be observed when the dynamic and future requirements trends were identified, using the proposed approach. Since CRs can change rapidly, the database of CRs must be updated continually; therefore, the proposed approach in this study, will !
continually mine the database and identify the dynamic trends for the designers and manufacturers. The results of this study can provide an effective procedure of mining the dynamic trends of CRs and ECs for improving customer satisfaction and green competitiveness in the marketplace.

Abstract: The Wireless sensor network (WSN) consisting of a large number of sensors are effective for gathering data in a variety of environments. Since the sensors operate on battery of limited power, it is a great challenging aim to design an energy efficient routing protocol, which can minimize the delay while offering high-energy efficiency and long span of network lifetime. In this paper, we first completely analyzes the basic distributed clustering routing protocol LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy), then proposed a new routing protocol and data aggregation method in which the sensor nodes form the constant cluster and the cluster-head elected based on the residual energy of the individual node calculation with constant clustering and the node scheduling scheme is adopted in each cluster of the WSNs. In the node scheduling scheme (ACTIVE and SLEEP mode) the energy efficiency is increased near to 50% than LEACH protocol and lifetime of the networks also in!
creased. Simulation results using MATLAB are shows that the proposed routing protocol significantly reduces energy consumption and increase the total lifetime of the wireless sensor network compared to the LEACH protocol.

Abstract: Dynamic trust models and replication approaches that adequately address the security needs of wireless cognitive ad hoc networks (MANET) have proven quite difficult to develop. The inherent decentralized nature of ad hoc networks and their collaborative services give rise to a series of vulnerabilities that can be exploited by malicious entities. This problem is exacerbated by the fact that risk assessment models show high levels of complexity, which suggest significant domain constraints and lack of true human-like reasoning. Recent work in the area of HTM demonstrates the ability to mimic higher level cognitive skills. This paper discusses the potential of using HTM to improve human-like reasoning in the replication of trust information in cognitive MANETs.

Abstract: In the case of the DEM's obtained by IFSAR techniques, precision in the azimuth axis may be different from the precision in the range-axis and the error in elevation is correlated with the error in the range-axis. The "Perpendicular Distance Estimation Method" (PDEM) proposed recently allows the evaluation of vertical and horizontal accuracy of the DEM. In a recent work the case of the DEM's obtained by IFSAR technology was analyzed. In this work we performed several simulations modifying the selection of the triangles. Results are improved when taking the appropriate selection of triangles defining the surface, and in consequence the PDEM gives reasonable results for the error estimation in the X axis direction.

Abstract: In order to design the congestion control scheme in the routers, an Active Queue Management (AQM) is proposed. This is used to control congestion at the router, where packets are dropped before queue become full. A new framework of AQM, namely NEWQUE with Per-flow Scheduling (PerNEWQUE) active queue management algorithm supporting explicit congestion notification (ECN), is proposed by extending scheduling nature in NEWQUE AQM. It is developed with the aim of strengthen the robustness of Internet against unresponsive flows. The objective of the new algorithm is to detect and penalize the unresponsive flows like UDP flows from responsive flows like TCP flows. The PerNEWQUE AQM is implemented with help of ns2 simulator. The simulation shows that the proposed design outperforms other AQM schemes in terms of reduction of throughput, link utilization and increasing percentage packet loss of unresponsive flows.
