Abstract: Reducing the fossil fuel consumption is the major debate of nowadays governments. Each liter, gallon or tone of fossil fuel is worth saving. Less fossil fuel used in the industry transfers to less pollution impact on the environment. One way to produce energy and save fossil fuel consumption is cogeneration with reciprocating internal combustion engine. The most efficient reciprocating internal combustion engine in converting fossil fuel into energy is the diesel engine. One major advantage of the diesel engine is that it can be operated with other unconventional fuels, based on oleaginous plants. Another aspect that must be highlighted is that, the diesel engine can operate with blends of conventional fuel and bio fuels. The paper's approach is cogeneration with biofuel, thus highlighting even more the benefits of the solution proposed in reducing fossil fuel consumption. Abstract: An understanding of how to enact well software process has become an important topic for both academicians and practitioners in recent years. Complex processes have many elements and there are many potential ways to improve them. Without a quantitative understanding of the process steps, but it is difficult to tell which ones are effective. Process must be measured for size, effort, schedule, and cost if they are to be performed successfully. To define a process is according to organization¡¦s intents which they are composed of other business goals. Although currently study on software process improvement is growing up fast, however, software development strategies do not provide a clear indication of what specifically constitutes software processes. In this research propose a UML-based approach to define a software process as effective ways for identifying, and defining the essential process elements of good evaluating practice. The aim is to embed quantitative ev!
aluation faculty into project¡¦s process definition stage to satisfy the goal of organization process improvement. The proposed approach focus on the study of UML models as class, state-chart and activity diagrams complemented with a set of OCL constraints.

Abstract: Abstract: Management is a process of integrating and utilizing suppliers, manufacturers, warehouses and retailers, so that goods are produced and delivered at the right quantities and at the right time while minimizing costs as well as satisfying customer requirements. Each manufacturer or distributor has some subset of the supply chain that it must manage and run profitably and efficiently to survive and grow. The primary objective of this work is to optimize the supply chain network of an organization by reducing the total operating cost considering various constraints. The four stages used in this article are suppliers, plants, distribution centers and retailers. Reducing the total operating cost becomes a key factor for the successful business. In this work, the optimal solution of the supply chain networking is obtained by using the non-traditional techniques such as genetic algorithm (GA) and particle swarm optimization algorithm (PSO). Unlike traditional sea!
rch and optimization techniques, allows for the direct incorporation of solutions. After optimizing, the two results were compared and it is found that the proposed genetic algorithm frame work offers a number of advantages like it is a multiple point search technique that examines a set of solutions and not just one solution, it is not derivative based and the stochastic nature of the algorithm helps the search to escape local minima traps when compared to PSO, the exclusive advantage of PSO being with it. The results are submitted to variation with respect to real time environment. In order to monitor and control the real time environment, the post optimality analysis or sensitivity analysis can be conducted.

Newton was the first one who started researching about the analysis of the transient flow . Abstract: In the banking industry, the production process can be described as a two-stage process. There are a number of published data envelopment analysis (DEA) papers that study the bank performance with two-stage model. However, none of them is applied to identify bank failure. In fact, only one of them deals with negative profit data. In the real world, failed banks or firms often produced negative profit for several years before they went into bankruptcy. To fit this situation this paper introduces a two-stage worst-practice frontier DEA (WPF-DEA) model that can deal with negative profit data and effectively identify failed bank(s) in the worse-case scenario. This model is applied in an empirical study. The result is then compared with the result from a two-stage best-practice frontier DEA model to show the adequacy of WPF-DEA model for identifying failed bank(s) in the worst-case scenario.

Abstract: In ad hoc network, nodes communicate with each other through wireless multi-hop links. When a node wants to send data to another node, it uses some routing algorithm to find the path before data delivery. In on-demand routing protocol, the source asks its neighbors to find the route leading to the destination. Route discovery is typically performed via flooding, which consumes a lot of control packets. Due to node mobility, the network topology change frequently and cause the route broken. In this paper, we propose a local path recovery routing protocol based on clustering coefficient (LPRCC) which can reduce the route discovery times when route failure occur. The clustering coefficient is one of properties in complex network. Simulation results show our protocol can decrease the number of control packets and increase route delivery ratio.

Abstract: Bayesian networks are probabilistic graphical models which can handle efficient uncertainty reasoning with hundreds of variables. They were not considered classification tools until the discovery of Naïve Bayes as classifiers. Classification extracts patterns by using data file with a set of labeled training examples and is currently one of the most significant areas in data mining. However, Naïve Bayes assumes the independence among the features. Structural learning among the features thus helps in the classification problem. In this study, the use of structural learning is proposed to be applied where there are relationships between the features when applying the Naïve Bayes. The improvement in classification using structural learning is shown if there exist relationships between the features or when they are not independent. The result is shown using six data sets.

Consequently, it is difficult to design accurately mathematical models for multiple degrees of freedoms robot manipulator. Abstract: The paper shows the way of possible transformation of the classical Dirichlet problem for the Laplace equation to the problem with additional conditions. The classical solutions can have a singularity of their derivatives at the top of the angle domain or at the point boundary condition inside the domain under consideration. That solutions are transformed to the function which does not have singularities at any point and are named the MAC-solutions. The second Green's formula is used to obtain the additional condition to transform the classical solution in an angle. More general approach is suggested to introduce an integro-differential equation instead of Laplace equation.

Abstract: This research introduces three new fractal array configurations that have superior performance to the well-known Sierpinski fractal array. These arrays are based on the fractal shapes Dragon, Twig and a new shape which will be called Flap fractal. Their superiority comes from the low Side Lobe Level (SLL) and/or the wide angle between the mainlobe and the side lobes which improves the Signal to Inter-Symbol Interference and Noise (S/ISIN) ratio. Abstract: One of the major obstacles encountered in design of a system on chip (SoC) arises from the high fault rate of clock distribution network in embedded intellectual property (IP) cores. With technology scaling, the geometries of devices approach its physical limits of operation, SoCs will be susceptible to various noise sources such as crosstalk, coupling noise, process variations, etc. Designing such a system under uncertainty becomes a challenge, as it is difficult to predict the time behavior of the system. Conservative design methodologies that consider all possible faults due to the noise sources, targeting safe system operation under all conditions will cause poor system performance. By contraries, aggressive design approach that can provide resilience against such timing faults without much additional hardware, is toughly required for maximizing system performance. In this paper we present an aggressive method to on-line detect the jitter faults on the clock s!
ignal that are due to defects caused by noise for high speed SoCs. Only fourteen MOS transistors and two minor capacitors are used for the circuit. The technique of time-to-voltage conversion is employed for transforming the time jitter error to variable voltage, which is more convenient in contrast with the conservative clock fault tolerance structure methodology. The circuit proposed can detect the jitter error of the digital clock signal faults with different applications. We have formally evaluated the meta-stability of our technique, which shows that our technique reliably meets the timing requirements. The simulation-based results show that the proposed circuit can be integrated into the nano-electronic SoCs applications to achieve the on-line clock jitter fault detection, and its maximal frequency can reach 800MHz. Furthermore, fault injection experiments show that our technique can tolerate all single faults on clock sources that lead to permanent stuck-at fault and!

Existing mechanisms use Packet Marking technique to trace back the real source of attacking packets that traverse through the network. Abstract: Nowadays, in automobile industry are found many working situations, in which the use of an articulated arm that supports the activities developed by operators is inevitable; out side the assembly line of a car, activities such as searching for parts needed to produce a vehicle, handling the cars tires, among others, are performed manually in many different companies. In this work is exposed the design of a robot that helps the operator to develop those activities, which is determined by a mechanical arm, made up by four (4) segments and four (4) joints, located on a mobile platform with two (2) wheels, each controlled by an independent engine. Through this work is intended to cover mathematics and physics present in the above mentioned device, taking advantage of the computational power symbolic of the software MAPLE. Although this development is focused on the automotive sector, applications of this kind of device in other fields of industry are innumerable.

Abstract: According to research performed for nearly fifty years, the fluidization of fine powders is complex. The difficulty of putting these powders in suspension in the fluidizing gas is related to the cohesive structure and, in particular, to the physical forces between the primary particles. The basic aim of this research work was to improve the quality of fluidization of Marble powder (dp=90μm) by applying external source in terms of acoustic field. Also, effect of acoustic field on minimum fluidization velocity (Umf) has been found out at resonant frequency. The value of Umf at 145dB and 120Hz is found to be 0.72cm/s which was very less compared to Umf at without sound intensity i.e.1.6cm/s. It was also noted that bed expansion (H) is marginally improved compared to without application acoustic field.

Abstract: A numerical model is developed in this study to simulate single droplet heat and mass transfer in saturated solvent vapor environment by finite volume method and transient SIMPLEC algorithm in spherical coordinates system. In this model, for simulation of the mass transfer, dimensionless equations of motion, heat transfer and mass transfer are solved simultaneously. The numerical analysis results are presented for mass transfer of lithium bromide solution droplet in 300K and initial concentration of 50%. Verification of method is done by compare these numerical results with analytical and numerical analysis of other studies. Droplet Growth Chart, average temperature and concentration, variation of drag coefficient diagrams, Nusselt number and flow line, temperature and concentration and temperature distribution contours, penetration rate of mass and the level of tangential velocity at droplet surface as the modeling results are presented.

Abstract: Fine particles are difficult to fluidize due to strong interparticle attraction. An attempt has been made to study the bed expansion of Silica gel (dp=25ìm) powder in presence of an acoustic field. A 135mm diameter fluidized bed column activated by an acoustic field from without sound intensity to 145dB and frequency from 90Hz to 170Hz was studied. The effects of sound pressure level, sound frequency and particle loading on the bed expansion were investigated. Experimental results showed that, bed expansion was good in presence of acoustic field of particular frequency. In addition, it was observed that in presence of acoustic field bed collapses slowly.

Abstract: As an air pollutant is transported from a source to a potential receptor the pollutant disperses into the surrounding air so that it arrives at a much lower concentration than it was on leaving the source. Strict environmental regulations worldwide resulted in an ever growing concern about the validity and reliability of air quality dispersion models. The present work is a try to evaluate the applicability of dispersion models from an industrial source. Two examples of the air quality dispersion models are considered here; the classical Gaussian plume model by Sutton and PRISE (Plume Rise) model by Henderson-Sellers and Allen. The results obtained suggest that the Classical Gaussian Plume model is reliable and applicable far from the source (5000 m and beyond); while PRISE model is applicable in the close region (within a few hundred meters) from the source.

Abstract: This paper presents an enhanced load transfer scheme for power distribution systems connected with distributed generation sources. Load transfer is an important approach to improve the reliability of power distribution systems. The proposed load transfer scheme takes into account the effects of distributed generation sources on power distribution systems. Hence, it is more useful than conventional load transfer scheme. In this paper, the procedures of conventional and proposed load transfer scheme are addressed in detail. Two example systems for computer simulation were constructed and several simulation scenarios were carried out by this work. Simulation results shown in this paper clearly indicate the troubles of conventional load transfer scheme and the practicability of the proposed load transfer scheme.

In multimedia application, most of the images are in color. And color images contain lot of data redundancy and require a large amount of storage space. In this work, we are presenting the performance of different wavelets using SPIHT algorithm for compressing color image. In this R, G and B component of color image are converted to YCbCr before wavelet transform is applied. Y is luminance component; Cb and Cr are chrominance components of the image. Lena color image is taken for analysis purpose. Image is compressed for different bits per pixel by changing level of wavelet decomposition. Mat!
lab software is used for simulation. Results are analyzed using PSNR and HVS property. Graphs are plotted to show the variation of PSNR for different bits per pixel and level of wavelet decomposition.

Abstract: As of now, the analysis of sperm such as counting and detection processes are still operated manually which tends to produce errors. False detection in sperm analysis must be minimized as possible. Therefore, the current study focuses on developing a Sprague Dawley rat sperm classification system to assist the detection process by pathologist. The system has the ability to classify the Sprague Dawley rat sperm into two classes namely normal and abnormal based on the morphological characteristic of sperm's head. The proposed system employs the Hybrid Multilayered Perceptron (HMLP) neural network trained with the Modified Recursive Prediction Error (MRPE) algorithm as the intelligent classifier tool. This study will also investigate three significant morphological characteristics of rat sperm's head namely opened degree, width of the curve and template matching percentage as the input data for the HMLP network. Furthermore, this study further classifies the abnormal !
sperm into hookless and banana shape. Promising result with 100% and 94.62% of accuracy has been achieved for two classes and three classes classification of rat sperm respectively.

Abstract: Two are the objectives of the present paper. First we study properties of a differentially simple commutative ring R with respect to a set D of derivations of R. Among the others we investigate the relation between the D-simplicity of R and that of the local ring RP with respect to a prime ideal P of R and we prove a criterion about the D- simplicity of R in case where R is a 1-dimensional (Krull dimension) finitely generated algebra over a field of characteristic zero and D is a singleton set. The above criterion was quoted without proof in an earlier paper of the author. Second we construct a special class of iterated skew polynomial rings defined with respect to finite sets of derivations of a ring R (not necessarily commutative) commuting to each other. The important thing in this class is that, if R is a commutative ring, then its differential simplicity is the necessary and sufficient condition for the simplicity of the corresponding skew polynomial ring.

Abstract: The paper aims at providing technical as well as social aspects akin to 'Security Vs Usability' in restricted user forums within a Social Network Site (SNS). As per surveys conducted in US, security of data plays a vital role in restricted user groups of SNS, such as in a Virtual Private Network (VPN). As per surveys conducted in US, security of data plays a vital role in restricted user groups of SNS, such as in a Virtual Private Network (VPN). Therefore authentication & processing techniques become an important event in the security of network programming. However, as far as a common user is concerned, when security is given a higher priority by the system, the usability for the user itself is then affected. This has been observed from survey conducted in South India. Conducive user environment is preferred particularly for SNS. The paper presents security features, derived from technical study and usability issues, obtained from Social survey in restricted user forums of a selected SNS that has been experimented and validated. Signature based authentications for security is elaborated. The paper also pres!
ents results obtained from social survey study that are based on feedback analysis conducted on security as well as usability issues from user respondents (based on purposive sampling). The results and the findings will be of immense use to SSN designers and researchers.

Abstract: Business performance measurement and management is a topic of increasing interest in both academic and industrial ambits. While performance indicators (PIs) and frameworks have been developed for large companies, little research has focused on small and medium enterprises (SMEs). As a consequence of that, additional research is needed in order to expand the current body of knowledge. This paper is a contribute forward this direction. Particularly, by using case study methodology, the paper reports the implementation of a performance measurement system (PMS) in a SME context. The various stages of the project are highlighted and characteristics of the final system discussed. Moreover, consistency of the PMS obtained is discussed by using an unexplored methodology based on PI classification and evaluation. After two years of system's adoption, feedbacks from user appear positive.

Abstract: Developing radio frequency identification (RFID)-based applications are a painstakingly difficult endeavor. Such difficulties include production of non-standard software and hardware peripherals from vendors, interoperability problems between different operating system, as well as lack of expertise in terms of low-level programming for RFID (i.e., steep learning curve). In order to address these difficulties, a reusable Long Range Active Embedded RFID System is developed and embedded to the network-based RFID Tracking and Monitoring Module (RFIDTM), a general implementation of a typical RFID system. The first globally made multimode 2.45GHz active integrated RFID are presented for this paper uses Zigbee technology platform. The system can detect within the range of 40–50 meters indoor and about 200 meters outdoor. The reader is embedded with Zigbee technology to send data to the PC. The implementation of the modules serves as a reusable module to facilitate the dev!
elopment of any RFID-based system in real time.

Abstract: This paper presents an algorithm that applies a guided maximum entropy method to the network design problem. Network design problem is a well known NP-hard problem which almost always involves underdetermined systems, especially when routing policy has to be determined. The maximum entropy method is a relatively new technique for solving underdetermined systems. We adjusted the network design problem, primarily the routing feasibility, to the maximum entropy method requirements. Computationally feasible algorithm is developed which includes additional constraints that direct uniformity of the solution in the desirable direction. Proposed algorithm computes a reasonable solution that is robust with respect to often required dynamic changes of the cost function. This modified method exploits the property of the MEM that it can smoothly move from cases where constraints can be satisfied to cases where constraints become desirable goals that are satisfied as much as po!
ssible. A software system was developed which includes all the mentioned features.

Abstract: Abstract:In the process of mental education for a healthy life, a particularly important role is played by body activities and the extend to which we are able to implement these activities in the academic programme of students in order to raise their interest. It is widely acknowledged that body activities go beyond P.E. domain, but they are connected with it because P.E. is a component of general education and it has as a main purpose the development of physical, psychical, sociocultural qualities of a person. Therefore, P.E. represents an important part of general education, being an act of culture over years and an emancipation method with a pedagogical content. Purpose. From the instructive-educative point of view, P.E. is a bilateral process in which, under the specialists' management, the students are systematically under influences that are permanently in agreement with educational objectives, especially with those of physical, psychomotor and psychical i!
mprovement. This is why in the present reasearch we have oriented towards a methodology design which will be the basis of teaching in the P.E. lesson and it will help students to understand the educational benefits given by exercising. Methods. The respondents are students of the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, in number of 200 subjects, distributed in the research as following: we had an Experiment Group (G.E. – 100 subjects) and a Control Group (G.C. – 100 subjects) to demonstrate the importance of the chosen topic, but also the hypothesis. We prepared a special program, different from the classical approach, and we started to teach the students on these basis, watching the impact of the independent variable. Results. The students' mentality regarding physical activities as a mirror to education, may be changed through the introduction of sports activities which can induce a state of pleasure, and not a psychological and physical discomfort, triggered by competi!
tion and marks. Physical activities, thus becoming a necessity, a piec
e of education for motion taught in school which may be transmitted to future generation as well. Conclusions. Lung cancer, the most common cause of cancer-related death in men and women. Medical images' mining involves many processes. Medical images mining is a promising area of computational intelligence applied to automatically analyze patients' records aiming at the discovery of new knowledge potentially useful for medical decision making. The methods in this proposal classify the digital X-ray images in two categories: normal and abnormal. The normal ones are those characterizing a healthy patient. Abstract: This paper presents an approach to enable autonomous service robots activities based on creation of an infrastructure parallel to the infrastructure of environment for daily human life and on cooperation of robot sensors. A mobile robot equipped with a manipulator is regarded as a service robot. A specific problem of control by the manipulator movement is concerned with changeable position of its base with regard to the position of the environment objects. The infrastructure contains both material and informative components. Material components are adjusted to the capabilities of the manipulator. Robot sensors provide functions based on position information. Control by the robot action starts with the assumption of exact knowledge of the initial pose of a mobile platform with regard to world coordinate system. The odometry sensors are used as metric reference. Visual sensors and laser rangefinder are used for verification of robot's current pose. Proposed collabora!
tive sensors data processing is used to cut down analyzed space of scene by directed selection of the area of interest and to replace the pattern recognition problem solving by the verification of the state of known scene. We proposed the visual informative landmark and mono-camera vision system that provide the robot direct measurement of its 3D spatial position with respect to landmark coordinate system and with additional environment information. It serves as the base to design an environment model representation as a hybrid of topological and metrical maps.

Abstract: This paper presents a new topology for converting a DC voltage to a 3-phase AC one. The proposed converter is excited from two separate DC supplies so the term "Doubly-Excited". The most important features of the proposed converter are the output voltage (AC Voltage) is lower or higher than the input one (DC Voltage), controllable voltage and frequency, and the output voltage and current are approximately sinusoidal which means low harmonics content. Abstract: In this paper, a new perspective of the Studies Orientation and Recommendation System (SORS) is incorporate. This system is conceived to offer support to candidates that wish to enter into university education system in Venezuela. That perspective was related with the structural idea (logical), represented by some diagrams that describe, under UML, in theory and by design what the system will do. The different proposed ideas have contributed to the development of a good architecture of the system - unifying criteria of the different referring aspects from the design-, which aid to increase the productivity and offers a solid base to go deeper in the phases of analysis and design, and continue, subsequently, with the other stages of the project until the conformation of an initial prototype to be tested.

Abstract: Direct AC to AC conversion system is important to reduce the power electronics harmonics. Harmonics elimination is major role in power electronics based systems. There are many power electronic systems which will convert AC to AC voltage. Elimination of harmonics increases the voltage transformation ratio. Forced commutated converter or Matrix Converter is a technology which will improve quality of the output power. In matrix converter commutation is a major issue. It involves large number of switches. Reduction of operating switches in matrix converter leads complicated control algorithm. Without reducing its switches we can develop a simple algorithm which will operate the matrix converter under safe operation. In this work we have synthesized single phase matrix converter. Single phase matrix converter is driven by Digital logic combination circuit. Its cost is very low. Added to that we have explained gate pulse generation using Digital Logic Combination Circ!

Abstract: The mechanical vapor compression heat pumps are modern systems, recently used as an alternative to the thermal fossil fuel stations. The incorrect determination of the vaporization ther-mal power needed for the ground–coupled heat pumps with vertical closed–loops leads to unfavorable effects for this systems: under–sizing the catching system used for the vaporization of the refri-gerant determines the reduction of heat pump nominal thermal power; over–sizing catching system leads to additional investments that puts under discussion the opportunity of using such systems. Therefore is very important to know the thermal conductivity of the soil and the thermal resistance of the vertical ground loop for esta-blish the right number of loops to be realized, depending on energy to be transfered to the heat pump. For this purpose is needed to be made a ground thermal response test, using a prove borehole. In this paper is presented a working methodology and is developed an!
ana-lytical model for evaluation of the soil thermal conductivity and the borehole thermal resistance, based on which can be calculated the vaporization thermal power that has to be assured from the ground and also the length of the vertical loops. Also, this paper presents an equivalent–time method to remove the effects of the interruption and estimate soil thermal conductivity, along with borehole resistance.

Abstract: That is why the closed spaces must insure the pos-sibility for both physical and intellectual work, as well as for some recreation activities, for rest and sleep under most favourable con-ditions. The achievement of these conditions depends on very many factors that decisively influence the sensation of comfort perceived, the work capacity and man's regeneration capacity. This paper approaches the indoor air quality simulation and control. It is deve-loped a computational model for indoor air quality numerical simu-lation, as well a methodology to determine the outside airflow rate and to verify the indoor air quality in enclosed spaces, according to the European Standard CEN 1752. On the bases of this mathema-tical model there was elaborated the COMFORT 2.0 computer program, implemented on compatible microsystems IBM-PC. The COMFORT 2.0 program computes the outside airflow rate for a room ventilation, the air exchanges rate, and the variation in time of contaminan!
ts concentration of room air according to European and national norms and analyses influence of different parametres on these sizes. The performance of the developed computational model and the advantages of the proposed computer program is illustrated by using a numerical comparative application for one constructive type building.

Abstract: The Wireless sensor network (WSN) consisting of a large number of sensors are effective for gathering data in a variety of environments. Since the sensors operate on battery of limited power, it is a great challenging aim to design an energy efficient routing protocol, which can minimize the delay while offering high-energy efficiency and long span of network lifetime. In this paper, we first completely analyzes the basic distributed clustering routing protocol LEACH (Low Energy Adaptive Clustering Hierarchy), then proposed a new routing protocol and data aggregation method in which the sensor nodes form the constant cluster and the cluster-head elected based on the residual energy of the individual node calculation with constant clustering and the node scheduling scheme is adopted in each cluster of the WSNs. In the node scheduling scheme (ACTIVE and SLEEP mode) the energy efficiency is increased near to 50% than LEACH protocol and lifetime of the networks also in!
creased. Simulation results using MATLAB are shows that the proposed routing protocol significantly reduces energy consumption and increase the total lifetime of the wireless sensor network compared to the LEACH protocol.
