TITLE: A New Proposal to Insert Watermark into Audio Files Using the Hermite Transform
KEYWORDS: Audio, Hermite transform, imperceptible, recovered watermarking, watermarking.
ABSTRACT: In this work we present a new watermarking technique to audio files using the Hermite transform (HT). The main feature of this technique is that watermark can be recovered after it has been embedded and is not required the original file, such that it has a blind recovery technique. The use of HT with audio files is to determinate your performance with them, because the Hermite transform background is with digital images. However according to the results, we obtain an efficiently method to watermark audio files, achieving that the watermark is imperceptible to the human ear. In addition the results of metrics calculation, correlation and peak signal to noise ratio strengthen the effectiveness of the method. The file that is used as watermark is also an audio file, and the amount of information of the audio file is used as a watermark is half the length of the host audio.

TITLE: Evaluation of Visegrad Countries Efficiency in Comparison with Austria and Germany by Selected Data Envelopment Analysis Models
KEYWORDS: Austria, competitiveness, DEA method, efficiency, Germany, inefficiency, model BCC/CCR/SBM, Visegrad Four
ABSTRACT: The paper deals with an application of Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) method to multi-criteria efficiency evaluation of the Visegrad Four countries (V4) in comparison with selected advanced European Union (EU) countries – Austria and Germany. The aim of the paper is to analyse a degree of efficiency achieved in individual countries which is perceived as a reflection of the level of competitive potential in the reference period 2000 – 2010. The theoretical part of the paper is devoted to the fundamental bases of competitiveness and the methodology of DEA method. The empirical part is aimed at measuring the efficiency of evaluated countries by selected DEA models – basic CCR and BCC models and additive SBM models. When applying DEA method, we used indicators, which are part of the Country Competitiveness Index (CCI) – common approach of European Union (EU) and World Economic Forum (WEF) to competitiveness evaluation. The final part of the paper offers a comprehensive comparison of results obtained by using of all calculated DEA models.

TITLE: Multiscale models of antimicrobial peptides
KEYWORDS: Antimicrobial peptides
computational biology
ABSTRACT: Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) are naturally-occurring molecules that exhibit strong antibiotic properties against numerous infectious bacterial strains. Because of their unique mechanism of action, they have been touted as a potential source for novel antibiotic drugs. We present a summary of computational investigations aimed at understanding this unique mechanism of action, in particular the development of models that provide a quantitative connection between molecular-level biophysical phenomena and relevant biological effects. Our work is focused on protegrins, a potent class of AMPs that attack bacteria by associating with the bacterial membrane and forming transmembrane pores that facilitate the unrestricted transport of ions. Using fully atomistic molecular dynamics simulations, we have computed the thermodynamics of peptide-membrane association and insertion, as well as peptide aggregation. We also present a thorough multi-scale analysis of the ion transport properties of protegrin pores, ranging from atomistic molecular dynamics simulations to mesoscale continuum models of single-pore electrodiffusion to models of transient ion transport from bacterial cells. Overall, our work provides a quantitative mechanistic description of the mechanism of action of protegrin antimicrobial peptides across multiple length and time scales.

TITLE: Packaging Replenishment as a Tool of Benefits Creation
KEYWORDS: Value chain, Value network, Customer value, Strategic benefits, Packaging, Supply chain management, Collaborative Planning, Forecasting and Replenishment.
ABSTRACT: The primary purpose and objective of building value chains or networks is to achieve greater business efficiency by creating such benefits that are not attainable without cooperation of the partners. These benefits may arise from cooperative implementation of various business activities and also in various parts of the value chain, or network. One of these activities is creating a packaging design and managing material flow of packages. If a network is correctly identified of stakeholders who would participate in the activity and if the activity is carried out so as to contribute to the creation of value not only for direct customers but for customers throughout the chain, not only the transaction benefits but also the strategic benefits may be created. This paper deals mainly with how cooperation should take place between members of the value chain, or network, so that packaging management becomes a tool to create benefits for all members of the network.

TITLE: Exploration on the relationship between Chinese characters and ergonomic affordances
KEYWORDS: Chinese characters, Motion Economy consists , hand radical
ABSTRACT: The process through which people understand the world tends to begin with their surrounding objects and activities, and often involves becoming aware of the function and usage of their hands. The idea of "hand" constantly enters a person's thoughts and consciousness, as it can be seen as a necessity of life, a culture connected to thoughts, and a symbol of representation. In Chinese writing systems including Chinese characters, the oracle bone script and Chinese bronze inscriptions, many characters are constructed partially with the symbol of手 (sou), which expresses thoughts and concepts richly associated with the hand. In the developmental history of Chinese characters, the hand has been continuously made more abstract and transformed into various symbols. Nevertheless, characters such as 手 (shou), 爪 (zhua), 又 (you), 勺 (shao) and characters containing these parts share many characteristic features. This paper seeks to discuss the meanings behind the common understanding of "images or situation models contained in Chinese characters," and how these meanings are connected to the development of creativity in arts and design. The research process utilizes philology materials, assisted by semiotic studies and the affordance theory in ergonomics, to further describe and examine the topic. The research attempts to trace the various sources of ideas relating to "hand" in Chinese characters, and discuss these in terms of ergonomic affordances with the aim to explore the corresponding relationships within a situation model.

TITLE: Law as a System of Proportions and Symmetries
KEYWORDS: Law Order Values Rules Proportion Symmetry Entropy Complexity Organisms
ABSTRACT: This paper aims at describing the mathematical proportions and symmetries characterizing the notion of legal Order. Starting from a Middle-Age definition of jus, we try to analyze the real and personal components of a legal proportion within any legal inter-individual relation. Then we deal with legal causality link in any legal rule, introducing a symmetric model of causation, instead of the more traditional interpretation of legal causation as consecutio temporum. Proportion and Symmetry make order inside a legal System.

TITLE: Optimizing of the Capital Structure of the Concrete Firm in the Theory and Practice of the Temporary Corporate Finance
KEYWORDS: Capital structure; Optimizing; Firms; Theories; Application; Instructions;
ABSTRACT: The aim of this article is to analyze the theoretical and practical problems concerning optimizing of the capital structure of the concrete firm and to answer the question if it is possible to prepare the recommended process for this optimizing. The most important problem in a theoretical way is to identify the theory which best fit. The firm has to decide firstly if to start the process of active optimizing or if it is satisfied with the following of branch standards or it is satisfied with complying with the pecking order theory. In case of active optimizing process firm could use theories stipulating the concrete empirical value, the traditional theory and the theory of spouses Neumaiers. In case of using the traditional theory it is necessary to cope with the problems of identifying the cost of equity and debt in dependency on the indebtedness. The optimal capital structure is not possible to identify, but only to estimate because of the different approaches to the solution of the application problems of single theories. The optimal capital structure will also vary because of the subjective approach to the process of optimizing. Nevertheless the wider manual how to cope with the process of the optimizing of the capital structure of the concrete firm is possible to prepare.
