Abstract: This study is a descriptive and analytical study that aims to assess the factors effecting the better implementation of ERP in organizations. This study was conducted with 260 accountants familiar with ERP in 220 public companies of different industries in Iran. During this study, information was collected through 212 questionnaires within several public organizations. Ratings for 28 questions were scored on a five-point Likert scale, and Cronbach's alpha coefficient of 0.94 was used to measure the reliability and internal consistency of the research. Also, regression models were used to analyze assumptions. We tested five hypotheses which three of them were confirmed and accepted. The empirical finding shows that role of accountants is important in the ERP implementations, accountants spend less time to resolve issues in ERP after the implementation phase and the competency of accountants in IT enables accountants to be more accepted in the ERP team during t!
