Abstract: An algorithmic method is introduced to compute arbitrary filiform Lie algebras of any finite dimension, starting from the relation between some known invariants of these algebras and the maximal dimension of their abelian ideals. More concretely, determining the law of each arbitrary filiform Lie algebra is expressed in terms of the triple formed by its dimension and the invariants $z_1$ and $z_2$.
