Abstract: This paper proposes two current-mode first-order log-domain All-pass filters, which are systematically derived using the transfer function decomposition procedure. First-order low-pass and high-pass filters, being the inherit building blocks of proposed All-pass filters, are also presented. Thus, the all-pass filter circuits can be thought of multifunction filter circuits also. The filter circuits have very simple structures, since they use exponential transconductor cells or E cells built employing only NPN transistors and a grounded capacitor, thereby rendering the filters convenient for monolithic integration. They can be electronically tuned by changing external currents besides having low sensitivities and good linearity. The filters have a greater bandwidth due to inherently current-mode and log-domain operations. Multisim 7 simulations are given to confirm the theoretical analysis.
