Abstract: A new control system of grid-connected power conditioner for distributed generation system is proposed and studied. The power conditioner consists of a dc-dc boost converter and a three-phase dc-ac voltage source inverter. The proposed control system consists of voltage and current control strategy, compensation control strategy and anti-islanding control strategy. The interrelationships of the control strategies are also designed so as to form a protection system for the distributed generation system. Thus, it can be considered as a total solution of the control strategy for distributed generation system. The power conditioner with the proposed control system can operate with high efficiency, high power factor and low current and voltage total harmonic distortion in a wide output range. The operation of the proposed control scheme is confirmed by the experimental results on a 10 kW design example.
