Abstract: This paper presents the research which was conducted at the Polytechnical Engineering College in Subotica. The aim of this research was to collect information from students of their level of usage of e-learning and internet services, to train students to use the existing system and to improve and develop the new modular system for the needs of distance learning. This web system is developed by the use of the following techniques: XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, AJAX, MySQL, XML and Python. XML-RPC web service will be realized to make better communication with the new desktop application and teaching system. The information system will be available at the following web address: www.webprofa.com.
