Abstract: Digital learning based on internet, symbolizing rich, multiple information, and fast and convenient search engine have already been recognized as a useful tool for learning. On this way, we can organize at anytime and in anywhere e-learning environment for the students in the Institute of Disaster Prevention on Hillslopes and Water Resources Engineering (DPHWE). This project combines the technical application of the wireless communication on the information system. The Situation-Aware U-Learning System (SAULS) is a five-tier system that composed of the mobile users, real-time ecology monitoring sensors, multimedia servers, active database server, and model database server. Using wireless sensor network (WSN) to perceive the environmental change, combining 3D virtual reality (VR) to produce flood simulation, and transmitting the real-time multimedia information.
