Abstract: J.W.Grossman and J.E.Dunbar et.al. have introduced weakly connected sets and weakly connected dominating sets. The aim of this paper is to initate a study of a new type of coloring called weakly connected coloring where the coloring is a proper coloring and the color classes are weakly connected. A new parameter \chi_{wc} is introduced and properties of this parameter are investigated. Further parameters may also be defined through this new type of coloring.
