Abstract: The fractography of tin brass heat exchanger tube was investigated after experiments conducted on specimens that hydrogen charged under different cathodic charging conditions and then pulled in tensile testing. It was found that the outer areas exhibit brittle fracture, however, the inside areas are still ductile, but the dimples were smaller and shallower than in the tin brass specimen without pre-deformation. The fracture surface of the pre-deformed specimen to 27% then hydrogen charged showed finer and shallower dimples, and the depth of the brittle area larger than those on the pre-deformed specimen to 6% then hydrogen charged
