Abstract: Let $P(\lambda)=\sum_{i=0}^{k}\lambda^{i}A_{i}(p)$ be a family of monic polynomial matrices smoothly dependent on a vector of real parameters $p=(p_{1},\ldots ,p_{n})$. In this work we study behavior of a multiple eigenvalue of the monic polynomial family $P(\lambda)$ as well as we study of behavior of a simple eigenvalue of a family of 1-degree singular polynomial matrices representing families of singular linear systems.
