Abstract: Reliable methods to analyze the component tolerance which affect the analog circuit performance are of great importance in microelectronics. It is impossible to produce circuits with exactly the same parameters specified in the design process. Such component tolerances will always lead to small variations of circuit properties, which may result in unexpected effects. The linear analog circuit consists of, current and voltage sources, transistors, resistors and capacitances. In general the uncertainty analyses of these circuits are analyzed by worst case and Monte Carlo method which are inbuilt in the simulation tools. This paper proposes to analyze the uncertainty in analog circuit using interval arithmetic and this has been demonstrated for the analog integrated circuit µA 741.
