Abstract: Abstract— In a competitive environment, health care organizations must continuously improve their productivity to sustain long-term growth and profitability. High productivity performance has been mostly assumed to be a natural outcome of successful health care management. The goods and services creation requires changes in the expended resources into the output goods and services. The efficiently of transforming input resources into goods and services depend on the productivity of the transformation process. However, it has been observed there is always vagueness or imprecision associated with the values of inputs and outputs. Therefore, it is difficult for a productivity measurement expert to specify the amount of resources and the outputs as exact scalar numbers. The present paper, applies fuzzy set theory to measure productivity of a hospital with PMCI method when numerical data cannot be specified in exact terms. The approach makes it possible to measure produ!
ctivity of organizational units (including non-government and non-profit entities) when the expert inputs cannot be specified as exact scalar quantities.
