Abstract: As no one knows what causes learning disabilities however it is generally assumed that learning disabilities are cause by a neurological dysfunction. Another theory is that learning disabilities are genetically transmitted. A child will have a reading problem if one of the parents has a similar problem. In fact, this is not important to find out what causes learning disabilities but the important issue is how to enhance them in their reading, writing, intellectual capacity and calculating. In Thailand the number of people with learning disabilities continues to increase and the software tools to enhance them in their learning are still very limit. Therefore the Rehabilitative Engineering and Assistive Technology Institute (REAT) in Thailand will develop the software tools to assist them.
