Abstract: Abstract: - Iris recognition is one of the most accurate identity verification systems. Since its initial introduction by Daughman many methods have been introduced to enhance the performance. We present an overview of the latest research on iris recognition by categorizing the research in four groups outlined as localization, segmentation, coding and recognition. We present the latest developments explaining advances to solve problems existing at each of the stages.
