Abstract: Low-energy buildings have become wide spread within the Czech Republic. Therefore it is necessary to focus on evaluation of indoor microclimate of such buildings. As indoor climate is greatly influenced by heating system and building constructions (as the most important parameters of thermal-hygric and toxic microclimate), this paper compares two case studies – two low-energy family houses with different heating systems and constructions. The aim of the paper is to determine optimal microclimate regarding particular heating systems and constructions. Since there have not been realized many of such case studies, this work might help designing healthy low-energy buildings with optimal indoor microclimate with is fundamental condition for a long-term inhabitation.

Abstract: During last decades financial accounting faces the shift of financial reporting paradigms from historical costs accounting towards fair value concept. The most visible item of this change is reporting for financial instruments, particularly for financial derivatives. The research presents the particular approach of the analyzed area, namely identifying the particularities of reporting for financial instruments in correspondence to IFRS, through both theoretical description and empirical analysis, and continuously linking the findings to the actual knowledge stage and theories developed in the field. The results show a high level of similarity between Czech accounting principles and IFRS for reporting of financial instruments.

Abstract: This work is based on a previous Fast Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum (FFHSS) transceiver designed for wireless optical communications. The core of the transmitter was a discrete Direct Digital Synthesizer (DDS). In the first prototype the DDS control and the digital synchronization signal were generated using a Programmable Logic Device (PLD), besides a discrete external filter was necessary to eliminate high frequency components of digital synchronization signal and generate analog synchronization signal. The FFHSS and analog synchronization signals were emitted by two separated Light Emitting Diodes (LED) to avoid adding them with discrete analog circuits. The peak emission wavelength of the LED was 650 nanometers. The objective of this work is redesign the modulator on a Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) using System Generator from Xilinx and analyse the performances of this design methodology. System Generator is one design tool in Simulink of Matlab. It !
allows fast design of digital systems using block diagrams. The compilation generates the files necessary for the Integrated System Environment (ISE) for FPGA of Xilinx, where the description of the circuit is obtained in a standard hardware description language. In ISE it is possible to compile the hardware description language files, simulate the system, assign pins, obtain the program file and program the FPGA.

Abstract: In this paper, we study different network flow problems in networks with node capacity. The literature on network flow problems is extensive, but these problems are described and studied in networks in which only arcs could have finite capacities. There are several applications that arise in practice and that can be reduced to a specific network flow problem in a network in which also nodes have limited capacity. This is the reason for focusing on maximum flow problem, minimum flow problem and minimum cost flow problem in a network with node capacities.

Abstract: Abstract :- High performance computing systems can be designed using parallel processing. The effectiveness of these parallel systems rests primarily on the communication network linking processors and memory modules. Hence, an interconnection network that provides the desired connectivity and performance at minimum cost is required. The design of a suitable interconnection network for inter-processor communication is one of the key issues of the system performance. In this paper a new multistage interconnection network IASEN (Irregular augmented shuffle exchange) has been proposed modifying existing ASEN-2 network. ASEN-2 is a regular multipath network with limited fault tolerance. ASEN and IASEN MINs are analyzed and compared in terms of performance parameters namely Bandwidth, Probability of Acceptance, Throughput, Processor Utilization and Cost. The paper also discusses the permutation possibility behavior of both the networks with and without faults. It has b!
een observed that the proposed multistage interconnection network IASEN provides much better fault-tolerance by providing more paths between any pair of source-destination and almost double bandwidth as compared to ASEN-2 at the expanse of little more cost.

Abstract: Abstract: - Improved reservoir characterisation in the mature oil applied to Gourara Field of Sahara in Algeria, aimed at maximising both in-field and near-field hydrocarbon potential, requires a clearer understanding of sub-seismic stratigraphy and facies distributions. In this context, we present a regional, high-resolution sequence stratigraphic framework for the Oued Namouss Field based on extensive sedimentological re-interpretation of core and wireline log data, combined with core analysis and published literature. This framework is used to place individual reservoirs in an appropriate regional context, thus resulting in the identification of subtle sedimentological and tectono-stratigraphic features of reservoir architecture that have been previously overlooked. We emphasise the following insights gained from our regional, high-resolution sequence stratigraphic synthesis: (1) improved definition of temporal and spatial trends in deposition both within and be!
tween individual reservoirs, (2) development of regionally consistent, predictive sedimentological models for two enigmatic reservoir intervals (the Formations I and II), and (3) recognition of subtle local tectono-stratigraphic controls on reservoir architecture, and their links to the regional structural evolution of the Province. We discuss the potential applications of these insights to the identification of additional exploration potential and to improved ultimate recovery. In this research a procedure was developed to assess and quantify uncertainties in hydrocarbon estimates related to depositional facies, petrophysical data and gross reservoir volumes. This procedure was applied to the Gourara Field, which is a mature gas field in the Oued Namous Basin, Algeria. The aim was to investigate the reasons for an unexpectedly high hydrocarbon recovery factor.

Abstract: n this report, we describe a new method in obtaining a 3D shape of specular surface by using five degrees of freedom (5-DOF) camera. We use the principle that the normal vectors of the surface are extracted by aligning the camera axis and the surface normal vector. From the normal vector data, the shape of the surface is reconstructed. After the flat and the ball surface, the objects of the research are continued to convex and concave specular surface. The convex object is an automobile glass window, where in this object we show that the back reflection of a parallel surface of a thin glass can be eliminated. In the concave object we have a limitation that the radius of object is not smaller than twice of the nearest distance from the camera to the surface. The result shows that the methodology improves the 3-D shape of object measurement with good accuracy.

Abstract: Non-linear finite element code ABAQUS/Explicit was employed to evaluate the energy absorption characteristics of concentric circular tubes subjected to impact in the axial direction. Thin-walled circular tube plays a vital role as energy absorber due to its high energy absorption capacity. However, the main drawback of existing tube type energy absorber is the high initial peak load. This work evaluates the capability of concentric circular tubes in reducing the peak load that is exerted to the protected structures and occupants during impact. Clearance and thickness of the structure were varied and different materials such as aluminum alloy, high strength steel and stainless steel were used. The study found that aluminum alloy has great potential to be utilized as energy absorbing system due to its high specific energy absorption capacity and long stroke. For all materials, increasing the clearance between the inner and outer circular tubes resulted in a reduction!
of peak load and a significant increase of specific energy absorption (SEA). However, increasing the thickness adversely increased the initial peak load and reduced the SEA. It can be deduced that concentric circular tubes could be utilized as a safer design of energy absorber as it exhibited a lower initial peak load during impact which is a desirable feature when designing for occupant safety.

Abstract: The paper deals with an aircraft supersonic inlet with mixed compression, which has a dual control system, based on the inner total pressure's ratio preservation. The authors have identified the inlet's gas-dynamic behavior, as well as the main control and controlled parameters. One has also built the system's mathematical model, based on system's non-linear motion equations; furthermore, one has established, based on some simplifying hypothesis, the system's linear non-dimensional model, useful for further studies, as well as for some similar inlets' modeling. A system description based on block diagram with transfer functions was also realized. Some simulations were also performed, concerning the system's time behavior (step response), for different cases of control possibilities.

Abstract: The mission 2020 basically is to develop a world class quality educational system which will realize the full potential of the individual and fulfil the aspiration of the 'One Malaysian nation'. This will only happen if education departs from the disinterested rote learning mode, and explores how information technology can be used to encourage active, creative, and independent learning. Therefore, Malaysia needs to make the critical transition from an industrial economy to being a leader in the Information Age. In order to make this vision a reality, Malaysian Government took a strategic project through smart school. Smart Schools were identified as having a key role to increase the number of ICT-skilled to meet the demand of industry that would be intergrating ICT into their process. It is a need to make a fundamental shifts towards a more technologically literate and thinking workforce, able to perform in a global work environment and use the tools and techno!

Abstract: Improved reservoir characterisation in the mature oil applied to Gourara Field of Sahara in Algeria, aimed at maximising both in-field and near-field hydrocarbon potential, requires a clearer understanding of sub-seismic stratigraphy and facies distributions. We emphasise the following insights gained from our regional, high-resolution sequence stratigraphic synthesis: (1) improved definition of temporal and spatial trends in deposition both within and between indivi!
dual reservoirs, (2) development of regionally consistent, predictive sedimentological models for two enigmatic reservoir intervals (the Formations I and II), and (3) recognition of subtle local tectono-stratigraphic controls on reservoir architecture, and their links to the regional structural evolution of the Province.

Abstract: The issue of current situation in the field of language portals is described in several stages. In the introductory part the width of the problem is outlined where an aspect of education is highlighted. Theoretical insight into portals provides readers with a number of definitions and explanations of key expressions related to portal solutions; like portal, its services and characteristics. The main part with plentiful subsections deals with usability study on language educational portals. Likewise other case studies it follows the standard research pattern: methodological frame covers usability terms and techniques. The research on the portal usability is built on an empiric observation of ways how common users under common circumstances browse through web pages. Factors influencing user´s behavior like intuitiveness, satisfaction and conventions are emphasized due to their significant role in user´s move in the portal environment. Study itself is preceded by deta!
il description of methodological course in language portal selection. Selection of portals was based on the width and quality of portal facilities and on findings gained within repetitive thematic discussions conducted during 2 years. Ten portals were finally selected: five national and five foreign language portals were tested. User testing was conducted with five participants. The outcome of the testing were reports on portal usability. One portal is described in detail in this contribution, final results and findings are summarized and visualized in graphs so as the complex situation can be seen. Conclusion brings outline of further utilization of gained findings within the research of current trends of educational portal solution development.

Abstract: Biomass as fuel is a significant source of renewable energy. In comparison with fossil fuels, however, its effective use is more complicated. This is the reason why other than conventional technologies of combustion are sought to make energy use of biomass. One of the ways of converting biomass to thermal energy or electric power is thermal gasification. The generated gas can consequently be used in combustion engines, gas turbines, or be directly burnt in the furnaces of steam boilers. Yet another interesting way of using the gas is separation and use of its individual constituents, e.g. separation of hydrogen for fuel cells. This paper is focused on survey of research of biomass and waste gasification at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology. The first part of this paper deals with testing of the most frequent biomass by gasification process. Second part is focused on catalytic methods of gasification gas cleaning using at experimen!

Abstract: In real-time multimedia, the overall time in Internet communications must be low and constant, in order to keep real-time sense and received media quality. When mobility is a basic requirement, efficient and flexible solutions should be adopted, avoiding harming time sensitive applications. In order to support mobile real-time multimedia communications on Internet backbones, a novel SIP extension is proposed, adding direct support to handover procedures in SIP clients. The procedures of that new extension, MobSIP, are specified and implemented in SIP clients, allowing formal and experimental verifications.

Abstract: Under the rapid change business environment, the relationships of inter-organization in supply chain will be transformed from single to complex relationships, and complex relationships could be categorized into ¡§Compound Relationships¡¨ or ¡§Portfolio Relationships¡¨. Theme of this research is to demonstrate how the external/internal resource and maintained flexible volatility of inter-organization will affect the competitive advantage for organization. Most current existed literatures of inter-organization in supply chain are focusing on the kind and features of the simple relationships or portfolio relationships. This study will use Rough set methodology to discriminate nature relations between compound relationships oriented and portfolio relationships oriented the theoretical framework model concerning the influence factors of the different selection between inter-organization in Supply Chain. Our goal is to provide the selection model which is built by discri!
minate analysis and Rough set methodology; furthermore, to encourage more academic and practical studies interactions.

Abstract: The article acquaints readers with over four-year experience with virtual mobility gained during development of the network of interuniversity study in the Czech Republic. Virtual mobility represents utilization of information and communication technologies to obtain the same benefits as one would have with physical mobility but without the need to travel. The contribution describes two projects based on the issue of virtual mobility. The system of interuniversity study is depicted; special attention is devoted to the efficiency of virtual mobility. The efficiency is in this paper understood as a difference in numbers of students who got enrolled in courses at the beginning of the academic year and those who completed courses successfully at the end of the year. Reasons of the unsuccessful study are explored in detail.

Abstract: In this paper, a natural convection heat transfer from a differentially heated walls in a square cavity was solved using two different scale of numerical approaches; Navier-Stokes and lattice Boltzmann formulations. The vorticity-stream function method was replaced in the continuum Navier-Stokes formulation to reduce the number of unknown variables while lattice Boltzmann method reconstructs the evolution of fluid particles to predict the heat transfer and fluid flow behavior in the system. Both numerical methods are of second order accuracy in space and time. The results of both methods were evaluated and compared. Good agreement between the Navier-Stokes and lattice Boltzmann formulation was found.

Abstract: Intelligent Transportation Systems, which apply advanced technologies to surface transportation systems, are widely viewed as the solution to the transportation problems that our society faces. One of the fundamental requirements of an intelligent road vehicle is to assist the driver in finding their anticipated destination in the most economical, reliable and safe way. The use of variable message signs (VMS) is generally considered to be a powerful tool to influence route choice so as to increase safety and comfort during driving and improve network performance and to make optimum use of available capacity. Saving motorists travel time is most important parameter which should be mentioned.
