Abstract: Due to the reduction of the fossil fuel reserves of the world and the strict environmental protection standards, one of the main research direction on the construction field is the reduction of the energy consumption, which suppose materials, technology and conception of buildings with lower specific energy need on one hand and equipment with high performances on the other hand. In this paper a complex energy analysis of the forward temperature is developed depending on the insulation level of the building and control of the heating system using different types of radiators in the rooms. Using the presented method the optimum value of forward temperature and the mass flow of hot water in the central heating system could be determined. Also, the energy consumption for water pumping in heating systems with reduced forward temperature is analyzed, for different types of radiators and control systems.
