Abstract: The successful operation of leisure business may contribute to regional economic development and tourism prosperity, as well as constituting a growing source of foreign exchange earnings. The leisure farm is becoming a popular and important form of recreational destination in Taiwan. To upgrade the leisure farm industry, it is vital to promote the development of competence for leisure farm entrepreneurs. To this end, the study proposes a practical evaluation method based on the competence theory and the analytic network process (ANP) approach. The aim is to prioritize competence development solutions for the purpose of enhancing entrepreneurial competences of leisure farm entrepreneurs. Additionally, an empirical study is presented to illustrate the application of the proposed method.
