Abstract: This paper presents a Hybrid Neuro-EPSO algorithm for solving the problem of Economic Load dispatch, while considering the transmission line loses. The ELD problem is a highly constrained, large scale, non-linear optimization problem, considering the equality and inequality constraints The superiority of the proposed algorithm over conventional techniques is very lucidly demonstrated in the simulation results. The NN-EPSO algorithm provides not only faster convergence but also more optimized results.
