Abstract: Three different hormonal combinations IBA+NAA (Indole-3-butyric acid+1-Naphthylacetic acid α), IBA and NAA in MS half strength media were tested for shoot and root development in two indigenous cultivars of mulberry species Morus alba and Morus nigra. The shooting response was found in 78.81≥92.94 with all treatments in both species while the root development was 72.64≥93.23 and NAA is found best. The root induction was found on the same media that was used to develop shooting. The shoot and root development initiated in 5-14 days in both species with all treatment inclusively. The callus induction was found higher in Morus alba (74.76 %) while regeneration was higher in Morus nigra on Full strength MS media supplement with 2,4-D+Kinetine and NAA respectively. The survival was recorded 77.14% and 76.66% in Morus nigra and Morus alba respectively during hardening.
