Abstract: Thermal mechanisms are complex by their own and even more when applied to a complex system, either geometrically either physically, such as the transformer is. However, the required transformer thermal model must be as simple as possible without loosing representative ness of major phenomena involved; a compromise must then be achieved between accuracy and complexity.
