Abstract: We are living in an era which is energy intensive. We make use of tremendous amount of energy for every day use. But the available resources of the world are depleting very fast. In today's world usage of energy depicts the level of development of a nation. The energy resources of the world are under severe pressure to cope up with the growing need of energy. The technological changes and changes in the lifestyle have increased the demand for energy tremendously. In view of the pressure on the existing resources of energy, it becomes very important for us to conserve energy or to find out new ways to produce the energy. This article examines way to conserve energy in one of the most energy intensive industries i.e. the spinning. Although there are number of areas where the energy can be conserved, we take a look at only one of them i.e. illumination.
