Abstract: An efficiency store of medicine knowledge is the critical issue of medicine evolvement. And therefore, a flexible platform for knowledge storing is indispensable to medicine. As the demand of medicine, this work aims to at the Clinical pathway which is a successful strategy on quality maintain and cost control of medicine, as the targeted domain to formulate a model of knowledge storage. In this work, the ontology was employed as the fundamental theory to facilitate the construction of flexible system. Meanwhile, due to the utilizations of task and domain ontologies, the knowledge of clinical pathways becomes more available by a separation of domain and operation knowledge. Moreover, taking account of continues refinement of clinical pathway, this work develops the functions of cost-effective care and quality health care and utilizes the computation of quartile and variance by respectively to identify the problematic treatments and pathway and to give the refinemen!
t decision supports. An integration of ontology approach, quartile and variance algorithm on clinical pathway was implemented by system development and a demonstrate outcome is presented in this paper.
