Abstract: In the present study, a Multi-Agent bidding decision support system for power supplier is investigated to provide information to power supplier during its bidding decision. Firstly, the layered model of the bidding decision support system for power supplier is proposed in this paper. In this model, the system composes of four layers: data gathering layer, data processing layer, bidding analyzing layer and bidding decision-making layer. The applications of Agent on each layer are analyzed respectively. In order to extract useful data from Web page and integrate them into data warehouse, a method is proposed to transfer HTML page into data source of XML by a combination of Agent technology. According to this method, data gathering layer possesses not only the general function of gathering the data, but also the function of extracting useful data from Web page and integrating them into database of the system. And then, an implementation scheme of an Agent function mod!
ule is illustrated. Finally, by the management module, the bidding decision support system for power supplier based on Multi-Agent System is established. A practical example is utilized to illustrate the effectiveness of the method.
