Abstract: This paper introduces a new approach for training of the adaptive neuro-fuzzy inference system (ANFIS). The classic ANFIS works used least square method (LSE) to adjust the values of consequent parameters. In this paper we propose to use nonlinear least square (NLSE) method to adjust the values of consequent parameters which will give best convergence of training of ANFIS. Adaptive neuro-fuzzy system with a proposed nonlinear LSE method is applied to make the identification of non-linear function. The obtained results are compared those of classic ANFIS and they showed quite satisfactory results.
