Abstract: Extreme Programming is a popular "agile" software development methodology. The recent success of Extreme Programming (XP) within the software industry has exercised a growing pressure and demand on educational institutions to introduce XP practices in graduate and undergraduate software development courses. This paper reports an experimental pilot study conducted to apply XP in one of the software engineering course-project offered in the department of Computer Science at the College of Computer and Information Sciences, king Saud University. The course-project lasted eleven weeks and included three releases. Results are reported and recommendations are highlighted.
