Abstract: Engineering Education is a swiftly growing sector in India and this paper gives an overview of the complete history of it and covers the Mile Stones, Growth Statistics, major Legislations, whistle blowers and the Future scope of this sector with emphasis on the major issues, threats and coercions in Quality improvement measurements in this sector. Last two decades, India has witnessed the virtual intensification of a complete society through Information Technology (IT) development and the transformation of Information course to global leaders and pulse makers of world, through Software education and training. A complete enclosure of the Software education (SE) in India, issues and challenges with inputs from notable academicians are pointed. This study is based on the observations from the Academicians, the experiences of my colleagues and overall the expressions of a complete one billion population which has witnessed the drastic change in Life through this Indust!
