Abstract: The paper deals with architecture of a new fully digital frequency synthesizer based on pulse generators, counters and a register. The technique described here is much simpler then other method, e.g. ÓÄ fractional-N frequency synthesizers or direct digital synthesis. Presented synthesizer is the suitable for the design of VLSI architectures or for programmable Large Scale Integration circuits and can be used as a universal building block of phase locked lops.
