Abstract: In this paper a new approach for increasing the reliability of checksum error detection, by using special differential Boolean transformations, has been proposed. Such transformations are used to amplify single errors and decrease the probability of undetected errors. The analysis of the efficiency of the differential Boolean transformations in checksum error detection schemes is presented. Comparative analysis indicated that utilization of differential transformations ensure more effectiveness in compare to using avalanche transformation.
