Abstract: In this work a totally analytic solution for this film flow of a fourth grade fluid down a vertical cylinder are obtained using some approximate optimal methods. These approaches do not depend upon any small or large parameters in comparison with other perturbation methods. The solutions obtained using our procedures are in good agreement with the exact solution, which show the applicability of the methods.
