Abstract: Personalized support to trainees is one of the open research issues in the cognitive domain of Advanced Educational Technologies. To resolve such issues the Adaptive Educational Systems have been developed to adapt their content to the specific characteristics, needs and preferences of each trainee. A special category of Adaptive Educational Systems are the Adaptive Educational Systems for Self Evaluation. The present paper describes such an Adaptive Educational System for Self Evaluation of adult trainees. We call it AESEVA and it is an environment implemented by the General Secretariat for Adult Education (G.S.A.E.) and is planned to become a central part of the electronic learning environment for the Adult Distance Education and Training Centre of the Hellenic Ministry of Education and Religious Affairs. The present paper aims to feed constructively the discussion into academic, among others, community, in international level concerning the outmost utilization !
of Advanced Educational Technologies in the adult education.
