Abstract: The objective of this paper is to suggest a method of reducing size, weight and cost of the distribution transformer with expansion of rural electrification a large number of medium range distribution transformer will be required and it is desirable also the cost of such transformer should be low. This will facilitate the handling of transformer. Increasing the specific magnetic and electrical loading marginally the size, weight and cost of transformer can be reduce.
