Abstract: ABSTRACT This report is based on Parallel Port Counting System (PPCS) for the reference purposes. It describes functionality and operation of the system. It also describes hardware as well as software. Hardware and software for PPCS is designed and developed which are compatible with SPP (Standard Parallel Port) and EPP (Enhanced Parallel Port). This system can capture, present and store real time data in a well formatted form. The stored data can be retrieved for further analysis. The purpose of this system is to facilitate the research experiments having signal ranges up to 4 MHz and storing data capability up to 16 million counts.
