Abstract: Ontology has a big potential solution to the current problem of Security Risk Management: the vague definition of security terminology, the potential inconsistency of the security environment understanding in the complex IT infrastructure context and the "overkill phenomena" of IT Security Standard adoption. In this paper we propose the improvement of the current ontology by (1) Strengthening the concepts of interdependency on business processes – assets and between assets itself (2) Improving the efficiency of threat assessment based on the principle Threat-Control Effectiveness. Our relations between concepts in this paper can be used as a base for problem solving method of information security risk analysis
