Abstract: A new OTRA-R-C low-pass, band-pass, and high-pass biquad filter without a capacitor in a feedback loop is generated using the realization of a new analytical synthesis method. Using the replacement of a resistor with a set of two parallel MOS transistors, a new OTRA-MOS-C one is also presented. The difference between finite trans-resistance and infinite trans-resistance makes output signals with rather errors. Based upon sensitivity tendency and variation amount, appropriately varying a resistor by a small difference may lead to more precise output responses. H-Spice simulations validate (i) the OTRA-R-C biquad is a little bit accurate than the OTRA-MOS-C one, (ii) the new high-pass biquad filter suffers from a distortion at high frequencies due to non-ideal trans-resistance frequency functions, (iii) the new band-pass biquad achieves very low sensitivities like the well-known doubly terminated LC ladder circuits, and (iv) several null group sensitivities exist in !
the new biquad filter.
