Abstract: Direct AC to AC conversion system is important to reduce the power electronics harmonics. Harmonics elimination is major role in power electronics based systems. There are many power electronic systems which will convert AC to AC voltage. Elimination of harmonics increases the voltage transformation ratio. Forced commutated converter or Matrix Converter is a technology which will improve quality of the output power. In matrix converter commutation is a major issue. It involves large number of switches. Reduction of operating switches in matrix converter leads complicated control algorithm. Without reducing its switches we can develop a simple algorithm which will operate the matrix converter under safe operation. In this work we have synthesized single phase matrix converter. Single phase matrix converter is driven by Digital logic combination circuit. Its cost is very low. Added to that we have explained gate pulse generation using Digital Logic Combination Circ!
