Abstract: This paper is part of the research conducting by the researcher on 'The Adaptation of SBRS (Sustainable Building Rating System) for Malaysian Buildings'. This paper reveals the scenario of Sustainable Building Rating System issues in Malaysia. This is to explore the hindering and facilitating factors that contribute to the success implementation of SBRS in Malaysia. The Malaysian building industry has over the years been developing and working towards a more sustainable and green architecture. The needs for SBRS become more apparent with the increasing demand from building end-user for Green rated building. This was also supported by objectives of many companies today where good corporate social responsibility (CSR) calls for them to support environmental friendly including their office premises. Government support is important to establish confident among building industry players. However, according to Ar. Lee Chor  Wah, the PAM President, the roadblocks to build!
ing green in Malaysia is the lack of knowledge and the key is education .(NST Property, ). This research will support on the knowledge and understanding of the building industry key players on the implementation of SBRS to their building projects.
