Abstract: This paper describes a simple model for the propagation of ultrasound in tissue layers. The analogous electrical transmission line equivalent circuits can be employed to represent ultrasonic propagation through tissue layers(fat-muscle-fat) terminated by a layers of infinite length. The force transfer across the target can be combined with input voltage drive to the pulse-echo transducer to predict the output voltage at the transducer terminals. The model is developed and introduced that enable to calculate the force transfer in compartments composed of any arbitrary number of tissue layers and This technique can be used to predict the reverberation in these layers.
