Abstract: Abstract: This paper is a survey that is aimed in determining the requirements, challenges, and trends in the application of semantic web in Saudi Arabia. We have reviewed various literatures for this topic since it is very evident that the technology today is geared towards modernization. The research showed that for Saudi Arabia, there are certain limitations involved in the application of semantic technology. These limitations include immaturity of tools, limitations of scales, and language. It has been concluded that in spite of the continuously developing technology, this technology is man-dependent. In light with the Middle Eastern setting the language consideration is the most important limitation in the application of semantic web technology in this setting
